“If You’re Not Angry, You’re Not Paying Attention”

If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention; and so it is with the whole Bundy Ranch siege.  You can’t call it anything else, because that’s what it was!  The “short” version from the government bullies was that cattle rancher Cliven Bundy hasn’t paid his grazing fees and owes a huge sum of money for grazing his cattle on “government land.”  Bundy said his family has grazed cattle on that land for hundreds of years and he has preemptive rights.

This subject brings up SO many things, but here are just a couple of things that need serious thought.  Who is the government and who funds the government?  Does the government use your tax dollars to “purchase” land?  And, apparently in a twisted turn of events, the cattle ranchers in Nevada actually PAID the Bureau of Land Management to buy them out!  Yes, you heard that right…

In THIS country, isn’t the government We-The-People?  Isn’t the reason we elect representatives in THIS country to protect our rights?  Doesn’t Congress take an Oath of Office to “support and defend” our Constitution “against all enemies, foreign and domestic?”  Isn’t the Bill of Rights part of said Constitution?  Don’t We-The-People pay the salaries of said representatives?  Yeah, that’s what I thought!

So, what about the “government owned land?”  Again, who is the government?  Please try to stay with me…Our government, right or not, negotiated a settlement and paid the Mexican government $15 Million for the land from which Nevada eventually came…Where did they get the money???  From the taxpayers…

Better yet, how did our peace-prize-winning, “constitutional expert” of a president allow this unjust siege over grazing cattle and the possible violence that could have come about if they had continued to treat Cliven Bundy and family as they were threatening to do?  There was no threat, you say?  If multitudes of armed government officials came on your property intending to forcibly remove your property, you wouldn’t feel threatened?  Yeah, I thought so!

If that’s not enough, here’s something else to think about, in the official story, the government claims Bundy owes $1.1 Million in back grazing fees.  The government estimates it will cost THE TAXPAYERS $3 Million to REMOVE THE CATTLE!  Who could POSSIBLY think that’s a good decision???  Oh, yeah, right!  We are talking about our federal government!!!  I momentarily forgot!  Back to the grazing fees. An article posted on Off Grid Quest cites a letter written by Bundy’s daughter, Shiree Bundy Cox says:

My dad did pay his grazing fees for years to the BLM until they were no longer using his fees to help him and to improve. Instead they began using these monies against the ranchers. They bought all the rest of the ranchers in the area out with they’re own grazing fees.

Did ya get that!?!  The government’s Bureau of Land Management used the grazing fees to BUY RANCHERS OUT…do you understand what she said there?  The ranchers paid the government to use their own money to buy their farmlands from them, and probably at an insignificant amount of money, at that!

This whole thing is absurd.  Anyone siding with the government on this needs a lesson in tyranny and despotic government tactics.  That’s what this was, pure and simple.  It appears the government has backed down for now.  Will they choose a different tack and come at the Bundy’s again?  Maybe when protesters leave?  It’s possible.  I hope not, though.  I hope the BLM had some sense knocked into them, what with the public outcry, the protestors, and the support from Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval.  My hope is that states take a good hard look at what transpired in Nevada, think for at least a few minutes about what could have happened and realize they TRULY need to take back their power.

Spying on the Senate and other wiretapping fun

WOW!  In less than a two-week period, news of our loss of privacy regarding wiretapping has revealed some nasty things.  First, there was Senator Dianne Feinstein defending the NSA’s wiretapping agenda.  Next there was the hilarious lawsuit filed by the US government against Sprint, concerning overcharges for wiretapping.  Now, Ms Feinstein and Senator Lindsey Graham are outraged to find out they are not immune to the wiretapping…I was almost speechless…almost!  In case you missed it, here goes.

In an LA Times article from February 19, 2014 we find out that Senator Feinstein threw her full support behind the NSA regarding the “collection of data on billions of American phone calls.”  Apparently, she can’t sleep at night for fear of terror attacks, so she feels it’s all right to invade your privacy and tap your phone.  Feinstein wants to protect you.  She said, “You have to know what’s going to happen, because it’s too late otherwise.”  Really, Ms Feinstein?  Bush approached telecomms in February of 2001, well ahead of the 9/11 terror attacks.  And, if you believe the “official” version of things, several different agencies had info on a possible attack, but never actually communicated with each other before hand to stop them. 

In a not so shocking turn of events, however, in a pair of mid-March articles in Washington Post and Rare.com, Feinstein is rabid about the CIA “breaking laws and breaching the constitutional principles” and Graham thinks “Heads should roll, people should go to jail“ as the CIA has been caught searching computers and, according to Feinstein, “secretly” removed documents from computers used by the Senate Intelligence Committee.  Again, I say, REALLY?  So the sneak and peak provision in the USA PATRIOT Act is NOT unconstitutional when used against the public they serve, but considered breaking the law and breaching constitutional principles when used against the Senate and the Senate Intelligence Committee, have I got that right?  Just checking…

As for Graham’s backing of the wiretapping episodes, back in June 2013, the Republican said he was happy the NSA was tapping phones.  He is a customer of Verizon and glad Verizon is turning over records because he’s more concerned about terrorists.  “I don’t think you’re talking to the terrorists. I know you’re not. I know I’m not. So we don’t have anything to worry about.”  Well, if I’m not and you’re not, why all the wiretapping, Lindsey?

Also, in a wicked turn of events, the government is suing Sprint for “inflating” its price for wiretaps conducted from January 2007 to July 2010, causing the government to overpay sprint to the tune of $21 MILLION dollars.  First of all, just how many wiretaps did Sprint conduct for the government that they could possibly inflate the cost that much, and second, just how many wiretaps does Sprint really NEED to conduct for the government?  And, on another note, how many people realize the truth; we-the-people are actually paying for the government to spy on us…GEEZZZ!!!

What’s my point?  People need to understand the double standard.  Wiretapping is obviously ok for the government to conduct on we-the-people, you know those of us paying them to REPRESENT US, but not all right when the tables are turned.  If we-the-people should not worry if we have nothing to hide, why in the world is the Senate Intelligence Committee worried???  Oh, yeah, and the Sprint lawsuit…That’s just hilarious!  Just a reminder, Senators…remember that old saying about giving up liberty and not deserving it???

 

SCOTUS Beats Down Bill of Rights

Last week was a rough one for the Bill of Rights.  The Supreme Court decision on Fernandez vs California was handed down, which dealt the Fourth Amendment another deathblow.  How many more knives to the gut can our privacy take?  But, that wasn’t all.  Former Justice John Paul Stevens decided he wants to rewrite the Second Amendment.  If that wasn’t enough, The Gateway Pundit’s report on Harvard student Sandra Korn’s article saying basically that we should do away with the First Amendment on campuses was the tipping point for me.  Doing the research for our film Blood of Patriots, which explores the Bill of Rights, led me to have NO questions about their intent, so these attacks on our rights in one week is painful to behold, especially those coming from the Supreme Court.  Let’s just get to the recap, shall we?

In a surprising blow to the Fourth Amendment, Justice Alito wrote the decision in favor of allowing cops the ability to search the home of a suspect, if anyone living in the home allows it, even against the wishes of the suspect.  Justices Thomas, Kennedy, Scalia, Breyer and Chief Justice Roberts concurred with the decision.  Justice Ginsburg wrote the dissent, with the support of Justices Kagan and Sotomayor. 

Justice Alito took the stance that even though the suspect told police they could not enter his home to search it, since the offender was subsequently arrested, therefore not present when law enforcement officers returned and requested to search the premises, it was clearly acceptable for the other occupant to grant permission for the unwarranted search.  Justice Alito continued by stating the Fourth Amendment protects us from unreasonable search and, while the Fourth Amendment requires a warrant “upon probable cause,” cites Kentucky vs King in that the Fourth Amendment “does not specify when a search warrant must be obtained.”  Justice Alito states that there are times when warrantless searches are “permissible.”

Clearly Justice Alito and the other concurring justices have forgotten their place regarding the protecting of our rights.  Former Justice Warren Brandies found, in Olmstead vs US,

“The protection guaranteed by the Amendments is much broader in scope. The makers of our Constitution undertook to secure conditions favorable to the pursuit of happiness…They sought to protect Americans in their beliefs, their thoughts, their emotions and their sensations. They conferred, as against the Government, the right to be let alone -- the most comprehensive of rights, and the right most valued by civilized men. To protect that right, every unjustifiable intrusion by the Government upon the privacy of the individual, whatever the means employed, must be deemed a violation of the Fourth Amendment.”

Justice Ginsburg opens by stating the Fourth Amendment protects the population against unreasonable search and seizure.  She said the officers had the opportunity to obtain a warrant, and reminds us “the warrant requirement…ranks among the ‘fundamental distinctions between our form of government, where officers are under the law, and the policestate where they are the law.’”  Justice Ginsburg also reiterates that in Johnson vs United States, the court found warrantless searches unreasonable.

Justice Ginsburg then makes it clear to everyone reading the Fernandez vs California dissent by first asking why the law requires the warrant, to which she answers, “Because the Framers saw the neutral magistrate as an essential part of the criminal process shielding all of us, good or bad, saint or sinner, from unchecked police activity.” 

Clearly, in this case, Justices Ginsburg, Kagan and Sotomayor understand why the Fourth Amendment was so important to our founding generation.  And, even though they were on the losing side of this argument, they at least made the attempt to educate the readers about the vision of our Framers.  And yet, the Fourth Amendment takes a hard blow, and we lose even more of our precious right to privacy.

Now, lets look into Former Justice Stevens’ desire to revise the Second Amendment…Ben Swann’s Truth in Media Moment exposed Former Justice Stevens’ want to change the wording of the Second Amendment “to reflect changing times.”  Swann says in Stevens’ book, “Six Amendments: How and Why We Should Change the Constitution,” Stevens wants to change the wording of the Second Amendment to, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms when serving in the militia shall not be infringed.”

Stevens is just another in a long line of political figures telling us the framers of the Constitution were unclear in their intended meaning about the Second Amendment.  I beg to differ with the esteemed Former Justice, but that’s not entirely so.  There are many pieces of evidence telling us exactly what our founding generation meant by the Second Amendment.  One, in particular, comes to mind from Noah Webster,

"The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretence, raised in the United States." 

Does this sound like a man talking about a bunch of people in a militia???  It sounds like a man talking about protecting our country from a tyrannical government.  Not enough for ya?  How about this from St George Tucker,

“Wherever…the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any colour or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction.”

Again, I ask, does it sound like this man is talking about merely the militia and protecting our country from a foreign invader?  What about Roger Sherman’s sentiments?

“[C]onceived it to be the privilege of every citizen, and one of his most essential rights, to bear arms, and to resist every attack upon his liberty or property, by whomsoever made.”

Webster’s, Tucker’s and Sherman’s comments are MOST revealing because they show the intent for bearing arms is as much, if not more, about protecting our liberty as it is about protect our property.  AND, Webster’s is CLEARLY about protecting our liberty FROM a government run-amok.  I am sorry, Former Justice Stevens, you evidently do not read historical documents.  If you and others of your ilk did, you would understand, without a doubt, the purpose of the Second Amendment.  I mean no disrespect to the Former Justice, but it is my duty, as a member of these united States, to help clear up this matter.  

Korn’s article was a bit…different.  She said she thinks if an idea is against the direction of the university community, “why should we put up with research that counters our goals?”  The answer to that is, of course, the researcher’s freedom of speech.  As many pointed out, the subtitle of her article was “Let’s give up on academic freedom in favor of justice.”  That right there shows she doesn’t understand freedom or justice. 

If we curtail freedom of speech, we also curtail freedom of ideas.  Without freedom of speech and ideas, we lack the opportunities to grow as a school, community and nation.  And, isn’t justice, itself, the righting of a wrong?  Our founding generation wanted the freedom of speech protected so there would be the free flowing of ideas.  From the pool for freely offered ideas, we could change the course of any argument.  If one side is hushed up, there is no free flow of anything, just a dictatorship of ideas with nothing to challenge it.

It’s time people like Ms Korn and our Supreme Court, former and present, embrace the ideology of our founding generation.  Freedom benefits everyone.  Freedom of Speech opens doors to changing tides.  The freedom to bear arms protects us from despotic governments, and protecting of privacy gives us a sanctuary into which we can retreat and rejuvenate.  No one said people should get away crimes against each other.  But, in issuing such damning attacks against our freedoms, this country falls farther and farther into a policestate mentality from which we can only emerge through revolutions.  Isn’t it better to protect what we were given from the founding of this country, than to resort to such desperate measures to get it back? 

 

Gardasil…Journalistic Integrity Be Damned

Trying to keep up with everything going on without watching television is hard work…and I missed this about Gardasil.  So…here I am, trying to make sure you don’t.  If you can’t see the agenda regarding Gardasil, take a look at outcries against veteran journalist turned talk show host Katie Couric over her December segment on the subject.  Since doing the research and writing the film, Peddling Influence, it is so easy for me to spot the media lies supporting the elite agenda, I can hardly believe I ever missed it before.  What’s even more astounding is the way others follow the “official talking points” on an issue without looking into the facts.  And so it is with Gardasil. 

Couric’s talk show, Katie, produced a segment on which a couple of mothers came to tell tragic stories of nightmare adverse reactions their daughters, Christina Tarsell and Lauren Mathis, had after taking the Gardasil vaccine.  While Mathis lived, Tarsell did not.  After the program aired, Couric took a harsh bashing as journalists slammed her excessively for exposing the dark side of Gardasil.  Couric did say, during the course of the program, her daughters had received their vaccine, but that wasn’t good enough for the highly insulted, vaccine pushing “journalists” and their elite, agenda-driven puppet masters.  And, no matter what was said about Gardasil during the program, in many so-called journalists eyes, the damage was done.  Dr. Joseph Mercola’s article gave the bitter objections of Los Angeles Times writer, Michael Hiltzik:

"The video depictions of mothers and daughters in tears will stay with thousands of Couric's loyal viewers. Her written mea culpa, not so much."

And, Forbes reporter Matthew Herper claimed Couric’s show “stacked the deck against Gardasil” by, among other things, “pulling viewers’ heartstrings.”

Isn’t that cozy?  The mainstream media uses heart-wrenching images all the time to sway public opinion, when it suits their purpose.  When it doesn’t, the offending journalist is attacked. 

Slate reporter Phil Plait responded to Couric’s written “apology” by saying instead of focusing on the “wonderful benefits of this vaccine,” she allowed a couple of people to talk about Gardasil “without any solid evidence.”  Plait later commented about his disappointment that Couric gave a platform to “anti-vaxxers.”  In this one point, Plait shows his ignorance.  Both mothers only became “anti-vaxxers” AFTER what happened to their daughters.  This comment shows Plait is also following the elite talking points about Gardasil.  Plait told his readers, “…she did have a doctor taking the side of evidence-based medicine and promoting the vaccine.”  But one thing Plait never mentioned was the doctor appearing to speak out against the vaccine, Dr. Diane Harper. 

For those unfamiliar, Dr. Harper was one of the lead researchers for the HPV vaccine.  She devoted a huge part of her life to that very goal.  What she had to say apparently had no bearing on “the facts” about which journalists hammered Couric.  From the program:

“Gardasil doesn’t last long enough to prevent cervical cancer and HPV infections are something women continue to get throughout their lifetime…Gardasil is an option, but that’s all it is…” 

Harper explained it is our right, as woman, to take that vaccine, if we feel it will prevent HPV cancer.  She then stated, there are also harms connected to the vaccine.  Why did the attackers concentrat on what Couric brought to the table and not what the lead researcher for the HPV vaccine had to say?  Some went so far as to say the show lacked a scientific basis.  REALLY?  WHAT ABOUT DR. DIANE HARPER?

And, as for Dr Harper, some may think, as one of the lead researchers, Harper’s concerns over the HPV vaccine are fairly new.  They’re not.  Harper gave a presentation at the 4th International Public Conference on Vaccines in October 2009.  During her presentation, Harper revealed several facts about HPV.  According to her, “seventy percent of HPV infections resolve themselves without treatment within a year.”  Harper continued saying that by two years, the resolution rate goes up to ninety percent.  Then, she leveled the kicker by saying four out of five women who contract cervical cancer reside in “developing countries.” 

Since our government health organizations and their journalist mouthpieces recommend we vaccinate children as young as nine years old, what Harper has said about that must really set them on fire.  Harper said there were no efficacy trials in children younger than fifteen years old. 

Harper also made the observation that the rate of cervical cancer in the US will not go down by vaccinating and the continued use of PAP screening because the incident rate in the US is already so low.

Interestingly enough, according to Cancer.Org, you might know it better as The American Cancer Society, most women who are infected with HPV do not get cervical cancer.  Cancer.Org goes so far as to say there are other risk factors involved in the development of cervical cancer from HPV, like smoking and HIV infection.  Even the Center for Disease Control, yet another of the DHHS entities, tells us “In most cases HPV goes away by itself before it causes any health problems…” 

And, if that’s not enough, looking at figures reported by SEER, like all infectious diseases, cervical cancer seems to be eradicating itself.  SEER is a program of The National Cancer Institute, which is a part of the National Institutes of Health, which is part of the US Department of Health and Human Services…in other words, a government entity.  According to a SEER 9 report, in 1975, there were 14.8 new cases of cervical cancer and 5.6 deaths per 100,000 women in the US.  By 1985, just ten years later, and well before the HPV vaccine, there were 10.2 new cases and 3.8 deaths per 100,000 women.  Again, by 1995, a mere ten years later, there were 8.9 new cases and 3.2 deaths per 100,000 women.  By 2005, another ten years later, and the year BEFORE the FDA approved the HPV vaccine, SEER 9 reported new cases at 6.8 and deaths at 2.4 per 100,000 women.  In a thirty year span, both new cases AND deaths had already dropped by more than half…WITHOUT a vaccine!  It may interest you to know that in 2010, SEER 9 reported that new cases stood at 6.7 and deaths a 2.3 per 100,000 women.  So, did the vaccine stop ANYTHING?  Doesn’t appear to have!

What does all this information tell us?  First and foremost, don’t trust everything you’re told by ANY mainstream journalist.  Second, we can get GREAT information right from the very sources trying to scare us into poisoning ourselves.  Third, how many people know the actual facts about HPV?  Here are just a few. 

According to our own FDA and a report by Medical News Today there are over one hundred different kinds of HPV.  The National Cancer Institute says there are more than one hundred fifty strains.  Most of the HPV cancers are cause by four particular strains.  An HPV virus also causes common skin warts and plantar warts.  In 2009, an article on the Alliance for Human Research Protection website, also reporting on Harper’s presentation, stated that, as of 2009, VAERS, the US Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, had official reports from 15,037 girls who experienced adverse side effects and the CDC recognizes 44 deaths related to Gardasil use. 

So, my questions has GOT to be, is that enough science for you, Mr. Plait???  Is that enough information for the rabid people attacking Couric to admit they could be wrong?  Also, the SEER data seems to SUPPORT Dr. Harper’s assessment regarding lowered rates of incident in the US.

Last but not least, follow the money.  According to the NCI’s HPV vaccine “fact sheet,” the technology used to develop the two HPV vaccines, Gardasil and Cervarix, was developed “in part” by the National Cancer Institute (remember, this is a US government entity) and passed on to Merck and GlaxoSmithKline, respectively.  According to the NCI website, the cost per dose (and it takes three) is $130, but, “the actual cost for vaccination may be determined by the clinic that provides the service.”

Public Schools Damning Our Children, Phase Two…

Columbia, MO – February 13, 2014 – If you ever needed it, here’s just one more in a long list of reasons to home school.  Public schools are continuing to blatantly misrepresent important information about our country to our children.  This isn’t the first time our children have been damned to a life of political ignorance, either!  In September 2013, Breitbart published an expose’ about the book United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination.  If you read through the screen shot of a page from the book, you should be appalled.  You might also be tempted to think the book is part of the dreaded Common Core curriculum.  Yet, according to Barnes and Noble’s book page, it was published in 2001!

If you have to ask what’s so offensive, I guess you didn’t read it.  The page in questions lists the Bill of Rights…reworded.  Yep!  What got to the author who wrote the article was the revised Second Amendment, which reads, “The people have a right to keep and bear arms in a state militia.”  REALLY!?!  It’s offensive to think this is what public (government) schools are teaching our children.  What’s perhaps more offensive to me is that teachers aren’t questioning it.

While doing research for the William Lewis Film release Blood of Patriots, I didn’t just rely on my own beliefs about my right to own firearms.  I did my homework on why our Founding Generation felt it necessary to protect that specific right.  So, what DID our founders think?  Take a look.  The emphasis is mine…

Does this sound like a bunch of guys squaring away the “state militia” issue or protecting our right to hunt?  I don’t think so. 

For those who believe the Second Amendment refers to arming the “well regulated militia” and not arming our country’s population, what about this?  A very early New York state proposal included this, “the People have a right to keep and bear arms.”  It continues by saying the “well regulated militia, including the body of people capable of bearing arms, was the best defense for a free state,” which unmistakably articulates that the people, separate from the militia, have the right to own weapons.  Again, I ask, were they arming the people to hunt?  NOPE! 

Our Founding Generation was telling us that an armed population is the best defense against a tyrannical government.  No wonder the government claims they have no idea what our Founding Fathers meant by the Bill of Rights!  No wonder the government wants people to believe the Second Amendment is about the militia and not the population!  No wonder our government doesn’t want our children to know the TRUTH regarding the reason for gun ownership in this country!  It seems to be in the best interest of our government for our population to remain clueless about their rights, doesn’t it?  If only the people knew the truth, our government might just find itself in a world of hurt!  Knowledge is power…pass it around!

 

Dictator-in-Chief Unmasks And Then Some

Yep…It’s been a long time since I’ve written anything.  However, this week our Dictator-in-Chief slapped us all across our faces with his State of the Union address and I feel the need to speak out.  White House Press secretary Jay Carney and White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett came out before hand to give us a glimpse of what was to come.  Scary stuff!  If you haven’t been paying attention, this address should have been a monumental wake-up call!

Carney said President Obama has declared this his “Year of Action” and that, to get his way, Obama will do what it takes, including “bypass Congress where necessary.”  According to Jarrett, our prez will “take action on his own," bypassing Congress, if that’s what it takes.  The talking point is clearly “bypass Congress.”  Now, if that doesn’t sound like a dictator rather than a president, not sure it can be made any clearer, just sayin’!

And, true to the preview from Carney and Jarrett, President Obama said, “To every mayor, governor, state legislator in America, I say, you don't have to wait for Congress to act…”   Does that mean Obama’s Administration is going to let the states which have passed legislation to nullify unjust laws like Obamacare take care of their own business to protect their populations???  No, I didn't think so!  He added that he intended “to lead by example,” which only added credence to Carney and Jarrett’s preview and to his own notion about sidestepping Congress to get what he wants.  

While our constitutional-expert-of-a-president flaunted his imagined powers, how many Americans sat there listening like a bump on a log, thinking it’s all right for him to bypass Congress?  How many Americans sat there reading Carney and Jarrett’s comments on the matter without becoming livid at the thought?  How many people actually know he said that?  Anyone who thinks this is acceptable is in desperate need of a reality check!  Remember, our government has three very distinct branches…the Executive, the Legislative, and the Judicial.  (Quite frankly, NONE of our branches are doing their job, but that’s for another time!)  The LEGISLATIVE branch is the portion of our government tasked with making our laws…the JUDICIAL branch interprets, and the EXECUTIVE branch, wait for it, EXECUTES the laws…  

Let’s run down a few other “points” our dear Dictator-in-Chief tried to make, shall we?

While President Obama praised the unemployment figures, he left out a few MAJOR details.  First, 1.6 million people were dropped off unemployment because their benefits had run their course.  Second, 2.4 million people are “marginally attached” to the work force, therefore, are not counted in the unemployment figures.  Thirdly, there are 7.8 million people who are technically employed, are, more accurately, underemployed.  That’s right, those people are working part time, not because they want to, but because they can’t find full time work.  So, while Obama touts his new, lower unemployment figures, what about these figures?.

While we’re at it, let’s talk more specifically about our nation’s part time workers.  According to Advisor Perspectives, 18.9 percent of our workforce is part time.  For our government’s reporting purposes, full time is 35 hours per week and over.  If you dig really deep into our country’s Unemployment Report, you find the total non-farming private sector average hours worked per week for the past 3 months reported is 34.43…yeah UNDER that magic 35 hours.  Look at it yourself!  The info is on page thirty-four of the December Unemployment Situation.  What does that tell us?  It tells us the ENTIRE non-farming private sector is averaging LESS than the required 35 hours per week to be considered full time.  That tells us that out entire non-farming private sector is basically part time!!!  SO…are they just screwing with numbers to make the unemployment situation look good?  Just for fun, take a close look at the retail industry.  Retail employees averaged less than 32 hours per week, for the past 3 months.  Again, well below that magic 35 hour per week needed to be considered employed full time.

Okay, okay, enough of that.  What else did our Dictator-in-Chief say…Hummm…something about the US producing more oil than we import.  If that’s so, and it looks like it might be a close call, why are we still paying more than $3 per gallon for gasoline???  It’s truly amazing what you can find on the government’s own websites!  In October 2013, the last month reported at the time of this writing, our country was importing nearly 9.6 million barrels of oil per day.  During that same period, we were producing 7.75 million barrels per day.  That means, this country is still importing 1.85 million barrels per day more than we are producing AND, we are using/storing 17.35 million barrels of oil per day in some form or other.  That’s a lot of damned oil!!!  Oh, by the way, while we are paying more than $3 per gallon for gas, were you aware that we EXPORT finished motor gasoline?  Yeah, we do!  For the months reported in 2013, we exported an average of around 11.5 million barrels per month.  Again I ask, WHY are we paying $3 per gallon??? 

Obama hit on another one of my favorite subjects…guns.  People don’t seem to “get it” when talking about guns and violence.  The standard “solution” put forward is always to ban this gun or that gun clip.  It’s never to apprehend and punish those committing the crimes. Obama is no different.  Check out what he said:

“…I intend to keep trying, with or without Congress, to help stop more tragedies from visiting innocent Americans in our movie theaters and our shopping malls, or schools like Sandy Hook.”

What more could he or Congress do about these situations?  Movie theaters, shopping malls and schools are already gun-free zones.  It is already illegal to have guns in these areas.  Did the shooters care about the law?  Clearly the anti-gun laws didn’t “work!”  Unarmed people are easier targets.  Why don’t the anti-gun people understand that?  It’s not that hard to comprehend.

Oh yeah, by the way…we have a real time test of how well banning guns actually works.  Anti gun activists forget to tell us that, don’t they?  What about the DC gun ban?  The murder rate actually went UP astronomically during the DC gun ban.  What about the MAJOR restrictions in Chicago and New York City?  Chicago has had a virtual ban on guns and yet CNN reported Chicago experiences “thousands of shooting victims and hundreds of murders…  New York City has extremely strict gun laws and doesn’t automatically recognize the gun laws of New York State.  To own a gun in New York City, you have to jump through major hoops, yet that doesn’t stop gun violence in NYC.  So, again I must ask, what would banning guns or more gun restrictions do to stop gun violence?

And, I hate to bring this up, but one of the very first promises of Obama’s campaign was to bring our troops home from the illegal war.  In this SOTU address, Obama dared to mention “America's longest war will finally be over.”  If he had been true to his word, “America's longest war” would have been over way back 16 months into Obama’s first term, in 2010!!!

Needless to say, Obama is clearly delusional…yet he’s at the helm of one of the most powerful countries in the world and people aren’t paying attention.  There needs to be an honest dissection of his words and the media refuses to do it.  For the sake of this country, please talk to your friends and family.  Obama said he would use his pen and do what he wants, regardless of Congress and that is completely unconstitutional.  He ran with faked unemployment numbers.  He fudged a bit about our oil production.  He will not face the unconstitutionality and worthlessness of gun laws.  And, he talks peace and six years into his presidency, he still hasn’t completely ended Bush’s illegal war.  And, that’s just part of what he said in his 2014 State of the Union address.  He’s said and done, and not done, so much more, how can anyone take him seriously?  I just can’t!

 

What We Can Do To Support Our Troops

Today is Veteran’s Day.  Many thanks to those who chose/choose to give their lives in service to this country.  All across the country there are celebrations, parades and well-wishes.  There is one thing that we can all do to TRULY honor our veterans…get active and be vigilant!  And, believe it or not, President Obama has said that we cannot rely on our military to achieve our National Security goals.  How right he is… How right he is...it takes ALL OF US!!!

Looking for something short to read on this day, I felt drawn to read Patrick Henry’s “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech before the Virginia Convention.  It was a most compelling speech given March 23, 1775 of which almost everyone knows the last line, “…but, as for me, give me liberty or give me death!”  But, has anyone caught the rest of what he conveyed?

The speech we read today, which was not taken down word for word, was actually compiled by Henry biographer William Wirt.  Wirt researched, interviewed people who knew Henry and scoured letters from the period to reconstruct what we read today.  The importance and tone cannot be mistake, however.  The colonial settlers were attempting to decide whether or not to defend their unique freedom from their own government…England.

We find ourselves in a similar situation.  Our government turned on the population a long time ago and people have been sitting silently by hoping the government would correct itself.  If history tells us anything, it tells us we should certainly know better. 

Henry talks about the Royal Navy amassing off the shores of this country, as he calls them “warlike preparations,” his sentiment of which was, “Are fleets and armies necessary to a work of love and reconciliation?”  He later calls it like he sees it, “These are the implements of war and subjugation.”  How many of us read, everyday, about the policestate tactics going on in the streets of this country right now?  We depend on Posse Comitatus to keep our military off our streets, but how many of us remember that USNORTHCOM is present and training, on US soil, even as we speak?   How many times has our own government stripped us of precious freedoms to implement a program that benefits the already powerful, leaving the working population to foot the bill?

As for our “foreign enemies,” this country was founded on the principles of peace and non-interventionism.  How do we know?  George Washington’s Farewell Address pretty much sums that up. 

“Observe good faith and justice towards all nations; cultivate peace and harmony with all…The nation which indulges towards another a habitual hatred or a habitual fondness is in some degree a slave. It is a slave to its animosity or to its affection, either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest.”

The truth is, our founding generation committed treason against England to maintain their newly discovered way of life.  My own extensive research shows that since the Spanish American War, factions, most of which were either businessmen or foreign governments, have convinced our complicit government to sell our own troops, many of who are barely adults, into grotesque wars under deplorable conditions to farther their own agendas, of which, protecting our freedoms is hardly a part of the deal.

Maybe one of the most poignant parts of Henry’s reconstructed speech is this:

“There is no longer any room for hope.  If we wish to be free, if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending, if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained, we must fight!”

Henry continues by asking if the population can gather the strength needed to vanquish the enemies of freedom by indecision and inaction.  Sound familiar?  How many of us are willing to leave our freedom to someone else’s actions?  How many of us are willing to let someone else take up our rightful mantle as we sit back and ignore the egregious actions unfolding around us? 

If we do not pull together against our tyrannical government, local, state or federal, we will lose our precious liberties.  Henry tells us, in this very speech, “The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave.”  To win this war against our freedom, we MUST heed Henry’s words and become active where we stand…locally.  We must let that vigilance flow upward and out of our local cities, streets and counties to our state governments…and finally to the federal level.  This takes active participation, open discussion and an honest assessment of what is really going on around us.

Henry summed it up best, “For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and provide for it.”

A Short “Necessary and Proper” Lesson

The Government shutdown has expose my new pet peeve, and let me tell you, it is starting to grind on my very last nerve.  One of my friends, who really means well, says the Necessary and Proper Clause of the Constitution allows our founding document to “change with the times.”  REALLY?  If you believe this, I must state, you really need to reread that clause, for it is clear that you do not know what it says. 

To make it easy for everyone, here’s the clause, word for word, stating explicitly… 

“To make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof.”  (Emphasis mine.) 

Article 1 outlines the make up and power of Congress, the Legislative Branch.  Section 8 is called The Articles of Power.  See where the “necessary and proper clause” says "foregoing powers"?  That means the powers vest in Congress through Article 1, because nowhere else in the document, as originally passed, does it give Congress ANY other powers…Section 8 lays out what Congress can do.  Anyone telling you anything else is twisting the words to their own end.  That clause is clear as a bell… Stop the insanity! 

As Richard Mack said, in his interview for the William Lewis Film Don’t Tread On Me, our founding generation had just fought a war for freedom from tyrannical rule, why would they write a document that would put the people back under such a leader/government?  And he was absolutely right.  As the document was being written, the battle between the “Federalists” and “anti-Federalists” began.  The Federalists believed the Constitution, as written, protected the states and the population from tyranny because it spelled out openly the powers of each branch of the government.  The anti-Federalists believed the Constitution was too weak and needed farther rules to protect the states and the people from a despotic government-run-amok. The anti-Federalists would only agree to the Constitution if certain amendments were made. 

Federalist James Madison, after listening to some of the arguments, saw there may be a few loopholes, especially with the “necessary and proper” clause, and agreed to write the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to the Constitution.  In doing so, Madison added two very important, all encompassing amendments, Amendments Nine and Ten. 

Amendment Nine protects the people from an overreaching government and Amendment Ten does the same for the states.  How do I know this, especially when our “beloved” representatives don’t seem to understand it?  I read.  There is more than enough information out there regarding the debates, discussion, and thoughts of those writing and influencing out all-important founding papers.  Federalist and anti-Federalist alike had no intention of relinquishing any more power to a federal government than was absolutely necessary.  Their intention was for the people to hold the MOST power and the states to hold most of the balance.  The federal government was supposed to be about protecting the rights of the people and the states, ranking it third in power.

For your convenience, here is Amendment Nine, the protection of the people:

“The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”

Again, the emphasis is mine, so that you understand why this Amendment was so important.

And Amendment Ten says:
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

The entire Amendment needs to be emphasized so that everyone reading it understand that the framers of this document meant that the federal government was for the convenience of the states and the people, NOT the other way round.  Don’t believe me (as I’m sure many in Congress don’t, simply by their actions)?  Again, READ!  There are a multitude of resources out there containing details from debates and letters about what was going on in the heads of our Founding Generation. 

Along with the Declaration of Independence, our Constitution defines this country.  No one is stating that mistakes weren’t made regarding the treatment of the natives, slavery and women.  Our history definitely has its sordid moments.  BUT, you MUST read and understand what was going on in the minds of our founding generation to understand the founding documents.  If you aren’t going to do that, then you are part of the problem.

I’d like to include just a few quotes, so that you can get an idea of where our founders were coming from.  Any emphasis is mine.

"Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare, but only those specifically enumerated."  Thomas Jefferson

"You have rights antecedent to all earthly governments; rights that cannot be repealed or restrained by human laws; right derived from the Great Legislator of the Universe."  John Adams

To every suggestion concerning a bill of rights, the citizens of the United States may always say, ‘We reserve the right to do as we please.’ Supreme Court Justice James Wilson (One of the very first six men appointed to the Supreme Court!)

“The Conventions of a number of the States, having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution.”  The Preamble to the Bill of Rights.

If you haven’t guessed by now, my new pet peeve is people who are, by their own admission, uninvolved in the politics of this country or people who have “sworn loyalty” to a particular political party without seeing the “demons” in said party.  People who have no clue about why the founding documents of this country are so important.  People who have no clue what the Constitution actually says.  People who do not understand the reason for the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights.  People who think the majority of Democrats or Republicans, whichever way they lean, have their better interest in mind.  People who REFUSE to take responsibility for knowing ANYTHING about how this country was ORIGINALLY supposed to run.  People who coast through the years only to decide to turn out when elections roll around and vote against someone instead of for someone.  People who have resigned themselves to supporting the “lesser of two evils” when evil is evil, period. 

If you do not understand what the Founding Generation had in mind when forming this country, you need to do us all a favor and take a step back.  If you can’t be bothered knowing why this country was so important to the world, and in many ways still is, you need to take a step back.  If you simply follow a political party because your parents did or the party is promising things that, truly, are not in their ability to promise, you are part of the problem and you are selling both this country and its population, including yourself, short of the grander scheme of things.  If you are only voting against another candidate and cannot tell someone, unequivocally, why you support the other candidate, or are voting for one candidate because of party affiliation, you are part of the problem.  You need to step aside and let those of us who are TRULY concerned with the welfare of this country and its ENTIRE population step in and save this county…before it’s too late!

 

Making Sense of The Government Shutdown

While sitting back and observing our government at work, reading how some people are appalled at the GOP for “refusing” to work with the Democrats and the current Administration on the budget, and the GOP angered at the thought they may have to face the wrath of people angry over the shutdown, I find the situation quite comical.  Truly, people could look at it as the Democrats refusing to work with the GOP, but that never makes news, now does it?  And, with a government shutdown comes even less transparency than before…and from an administration that prided itself on transparency.  It’s just one more nail in this worthless administration’s coffin. 

We’ll get to the transparency issue in a bit…Let’s look at a few other things first.

First of all, does ANYONE remember that a 2013 budget was NEVER actually enacted?  Yeah, never happened.  Don’t remember that or don’t believe me?  Check the general notes on the current White House Budget Proposal.  It’s at the bottom of page 4.

The GOP in congress is holding up the budget over Obamacare…which is a piece of legislation forcing everyone to purchase a product, whether from private businesses, sign up for the government plan if they cannot afford healthcare OR pay a penalty if they do not do this.  It also forces these private businesses to provide services they never had before.  The administration granted waivers, in the beginning, and to some high level businesses, to be sure.  

First of all, it is NOT constitutional for Congress to force you to purchase anything.  Yes, I understand the Supreme Court folded and upheld Obamacare, and it is now considered “legal” to force our population to purchase a product.  In actuality, it is still unlawful.  Nowhere in the Constitution does it say Congress has this power, and the people should not be made to suffer because the Supreme Court could not do their job!  AND, while we’re at it, this brings up another fatal flaw of our legislators, their complete inability to adhere to their Oath of Office.  Alas, that is a subject I write about often.

Here is something else to ponder.  While everyone is in an uproar (and rightfully so!) because the government wants to shut down the National Parks, especially the World War monuments, one has to ask why, since many of the National Parks charge an entry fee.  You can purchase daily, weekly or yearly passes.  Many charge additionally for camping.  It seems logical to me that shutting down the National Park System doesn’t help the government, it hurts the National Parks.  After all, on the Big Bend National Park fee page, it clearly states, “More than 80% of the proceeds from the sales of National Park Passes go directly into supporting priority projects in national parks.” 

Not only that, but here’s a bit of odd information…the proposed budget for the Department of the Interior is a whopping $11.9 Billion.  In a multi-trillion dollar budget, that may sound like a paltry sum.  BUT, according to the Dept of Interior’s own notes on this year’s budget proposal amount, “Recreation and tourism on Interior lands contributed $48.7 billion and supported nearly 403,000 jobs.”  Yes, you read that right…Recreation and tourism paid for itself!  And that is just a SMALL portion of what goes on in the Dept of Interior!!!  What other projects or programs actually fund themselves AND, if “recreation and tourism on Interior lands” pays the bill, exactly what DOES the $11.9 Billion go to fund?

On to the bloody lack of transparency.  While the government wants to shutdown all things because they can’t do their job, and I direct this to BOTH the GOP and the Dems, today I received an email about legislation proposed to eliminate “the debt ceiling for a period defined, and for other purposes.”  You see, while the government is shutdown, congress is still proposing legislation…only you may or may not have the ability to read it.  There in lies the problem.  Our government has an out of control spending dilemma.  No debt ceiling means they do what…spend whatever on whatever and sort it out later…OR spend now and live it for future generations to sort out? 

Face some hard facts.  Our budget doesn’t just need to be cut of EVERYTHING not essential; it needs to be cut to the bare bones so that we can pay the debt we already have.  Our children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren are being born into debt if we don’t stop this now.  Why is that so hard for our lawmakers and major portions of our population to understand?  Do these people live in a fantasyland where they think the money for their precious programs grow on trees?  The money comes from somewhere, and if you aren’t earning it, someone else is.  In the case of our congress and their spending habits, it looks like they have no problem enslaving our progeny before they are even born.  What kind of parents does that make us by not stopping them from this heinous crime? 

AND, while our government was keen on their new program to help our youth spend more wisely, I guess that doesn’t apply to them?  BUT, not only that, within the very first week of a government shutdown, legislation was introduced to eliminate the debt ceiling.  Yeah, I can hear you Dems now…”but it says ‘for a period defined.’”  It also contains that ever-scary “and for other purposes!”  With the way our congressmen and women behave, that does NOT make me feel better! 

Let me put this another way…Our National Debt is nearly $17,000,000,000,000…yeah, I wanted you to SEE all the zeroes behind that $17…In fact, $17 Trillion is 17 thousand billion!  That amounts to more than $53,000 per citizen, and not those working, either.  It includes every man, woman and child belonging to this country.  So, while the GOP may be stonewalling to get rid of, or curtail, Obamacare, there needs to be a serious gutting of the budget, Obamacare aside.  The Bush Administration should have done it, but they didn’t.  The Clinton Administration should have done it, but they didn’t…in fact, when was the last time we had an actual balanced budget?  Not a scheming with the numbers or moving debt around to be tacked onto the next administration, an ACTUAL balanced budget?  Yeah, I don’t remember, either.

So, I think the government shut down should have started with the very people who are NOT doing their jobs…those on The Hill.  Face it.  Congress has failed us…and not just the Republicans, as the Dems would have you believe, or the Democrats, as the GOP wants you to think, but nearly everyone up there…and until Congress can actually do their constitutionally-appointed job instead of currying favor for Corporate America, their golf buddies or their next election, I think we should clean house and start with a fresh batch for representation.  They couldn’t do worse!  And, if they do, we just get rid of them and start again until we find the people it takes to honor and obey our Constitution, thus saving our country and our children and grandchildren’s future.

 

Congressional Traitors Shirk Responsibility, Again

Once again, The Atlantic surprises its readers with an article pointing out the absurdity of the Senate, specifically the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.  The committee newly approved a Senate Joint Resolution that actually gives away constitutionally appointed powers of the Legislative Branch to the Executive.

The very first line should make the person reading this cringe; “Whereas Syria is in material breach of the laws of war by having employed chemical weapons against its civilian population.”  Our government adds fluoride in its water supply and allows mercury and other harmful things in vaccines, protects Monsanto’s GMO’s and recombinant bovine growth hormone tainted milk, but that’s not considered employing “chemical weapons against its civilian population”?  Our government tested nuclear weapons and employed Agent Orange on our own military, but that’s not considered using “chemical weapons” on our own people?  What about the myriad other tests done on a community scale?  That’s not considered using chemical weapons on our own people?  Interesting!

So, our government CLAIMS Syria is a threat to our national security.  The United Nations has “affirmed that the proliferation of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons constitutes a threat to international peace and security,” yet out government possesses, and has used, these weapons of mass destruction more than once!  But Syria is the threat.  And, this “threat” has not been proven.  Yet Congress moves forward with giving the president the power to decide, based on his interpretation of events, to start a war with Syria.  And it won’t stop there…it never does.

For those of you who think the Obama Administration has run amok, remember, the Bush Administration handed over more power to the Executive Branch than it was EVER supposed to have, and the Obama Administration has stepped in line to take even more...Remember, this country was founded as a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC with 3 distinct branches of government, the purpose of which was to be a check on the powers of each other, and yet none seem to be acting as checks, and now you have one simply legislating away its own power!  Did the Senate Foreign Relations Committee ever stop to think if the Executive Branch has all the power, where are the checks???

You better be paying attention!  ANY member of the Senate that supported/supports this is a traitor. Anyone who actually knows what the Constitution says knows this new "clause," "Whereas the President has authority under the Constitution to use force in order to defend the national security interests of the United States..." is not constitutional.  Read the Articles of Power, Article 1 Section 8, of the Constitution.  Who has the power to declare war???  That’s right, the LEGISLATIVE branch has the power to declare war, NOT the Executive branch.  Maybe the Legislative Branch is just trying to shirk their responsibility!

Congress gave up their constitutionally appointed job of coining money in the beginning by turning over that job to a central banking system…one that has actually failed us not once, but 3 times!  And now, Congress wants to give up its right to declare war?    

We no longer have (and actually haven’t for a VERY long time) a Constitutional Republic, nor do we have a "Representative Democracy" as many government teachers teach and would have you believe.  We have a tyrannical dictatorship being put in place by the very branches of government set up to stop this kind of madness...and being jaded by your personal political persuasion doesn’t change the fact that it is that way…Call your congress men and women and demand the vote against this Joint resolution…Demand they do their job, check the Executive Branch!

Ron Paul fans and friends were excited to hear the news that Paul would be taking to the video waves to offer information and his prized insights.  But, since his Ron Paul Channel Debut, people have been berating Paul for asking for subscriptions for full access to his channel.  Like so many people who have tried to delve into alternative media, Paul is having his share of “attacks,” even from people who claim to believe in his message and support his policies.

I have read such comments as, “I donated thousands to your last run for office, I should get the Ron Paul channel for free” and “oh yeah that's right, only previews unless you pay,” and one of my personal favorites, “I really support your message Ron Paul, but think it's disappointing that we have to pay a monthly fee just to watch your videos on youtube. Isn't the main objective to spread the message across your country and the world? this makes it seem more like a business scheme and consequently makes it lose some of it's credit in my opinion”

It’s time for those who claim they can’t trust the mainstream media, and according to polls, there are MANY of us, to step up to the plate.  I don’t think you understand.  While there is access to free information, it takes a team and MANY precious man hours to produce polished, professional news of any kind.  Paul is just starting and YES, it take time for him to get his momentum going.  His shows will get better and better with more experience and the ability to PAY a professional to help.

There is another side to this that Paul supporters, as well as anyone who claims to be in favor of alternative media, seem to be overlooking.  Money!  Mainstream media gets LOTS of funding from advertising dollars.  Because of that, the message can be controlled, and many times IS controlled, by whoever is funding the outlet.  My own research for our documentary exposing the mainstream media, Peddling Influence, proved without a doubt, the message is being controlled by whoever is willing to spend the money.

When I stumbled across an interesting quote in a published lecture, I had to immediately recheck the date of the lecture, because the quote could apply today. 

“There is no such thing, at this stage in the world’s history in America, as an independent press, you know it and I know it.  I am PAID to keep honest opinions out of the paper.”  (Emphasis mine.) 

The quote was made by journalist John Swinton during a ceremony celebrating his body of work.  He was the one who chose to expose what he knew, and it happened sometime around the 1880’s.  You read that right, the 1880’s!  The more I researched the mainstream media, the more I was convinced it is worse than any enemy we think we have.  In many cases, they print, or not, what they’re told. 

Another thing I uncovered and exposed in Peddling Influence was the staggering amount of money spent by advertisers to sell their wares.  In 2011, for example, ad hacks spent $410 PER PERSON living in our country.  That’s a WHOPPING $127-plus BILLION spent to “sell” you stuff!  Do you think for one minute the media would do something to lose that kind of revenue?  No, they won’t.  During World War I, the media was quite literally controlled by a group of men to persuade our population to demand we enter the world war.  JP Morgan, Jr. stood to gain substantially from the war and sacrificed the lives of many to make a quick few million bucks.  The US entry into the Spanish American War was the result of a “war for readership” between William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer.  And, that information is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. 

Paul is looking to make a difference and not by seeking the backing heavy hitters.  He is looking for the people who claim to be fed up with the lying media.  The complaints of the cost of the subscription are baseless.  The $9.95 fee is less that 2 tickets to the movie theater, LESS than 3 gallons of gas, less than one decent dinner outing and far less than cable.  

I can hear it now, “But why can’t it be free?  What am I getting for the money?  This information is so important that it should be free.”  Let me ask YOU a question…do you give your services away for free?  Yeah, I didn’t think so.  So, let me explain what you get from ANY alternative media outlet, whether it be radio, film, news, or television; you get someone who does your homework for you.  Yeah, part of the problem is that there is news EVERYWHERE, relating to our freedoms, our health, our country, and our country’s standing in the world.  It is laced, and oftentimes overshadowed, by news that is superfluous and, in actuality, means NOTHING to our country and our well-being.  BUT, who has time to wade through all that to get to the REAL news?  That’s the service the Ron Paul Channel, and other outstanding alternative media, do for us.  That’s what they provide…they sift through the garbage and get to the stuff that matters.

These Ron Paul supporters understand, “If you were offering hot chicks and sports scores these buffoons would pay $80/month,” or “If the corporations aren't going to prop-up Ron because they don't want change to their free ride, how does someone get support if not from a few dedicated people & donations.”  Sifting through the news gets tedious and you can miss the good stuff because you get so bored with the bad.  Most of those in alternative media are trying to bring the REAL news out in the open.  They are trying to narrow it all down so that you can get the important information right away, without the time consuming tedious research.

I've been on alternative media for a long time.  I don't do it for the money, because, believe me, it is by far NOT a moneymaker, but it's important.  People often ask me what they can do to help get the truth out there.  What can one person do?  If you are TRULY tired of the mainstream media, are REALLY seeking truth and support the message, you’ll stop complaining about it and seek out and support good alternative media…it’s that simple! 

 

Grown Adults Make Me SICK!

For the life of me, I can’t understand why any country feels the need to cause such damage on a global scale.  And, I don’t mean just the war.  Why can’t grown friggin adults just stop their madness regarding war and the suppression of other people…PERIOD!

With regard to war, though, has ANYONE ever thought about why it is that…wait for it…GROWN FRIGGIN ADULTS start stuff and send their CHILDREN to fight their war?  You don’t want your children to do dangerous things, but you are willing to allow GROWN FRIGGIN ADULTS to start stuff and send EVERYONE ELSE’S children to fight your bloody war!  STOP THIS MADNESS ALREADY!

Now, the GOP has found a reason to support peace-prize-winning President Barack Obama…his desire to go to war with Syria!  But, wait!  Wasn’t it the Democrats who were sick and tired of the warmonger president George W. Bush???  They, and MANY others, were fed up with Bush’s policing of the world, so they could NOT vote for McCain…Because McCain was just too much like Bush.  Now we have a president, who, ironically, won a peace prize BEFORE he did ANYTHING to farther peace, who has had conflict and war ALL OVER his time in office.  Do not EVER try to tell me Obama is better than Bush or vise versa…They are BOTH warmongering pigs in DESPERATE need of being called down for their actions AGAINST the American people.  Yeah, I said it!  ACTIONS AGAINST THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!  Starting wars and conflicts in which others will fight is actions against those people…It’s madness…I feel like I am living in crazy land where nothing makes sense!

Reason Magazine published an amazing article regarding Obama’s commemoration of 50th Anniversary of Dr Martin Luther King, Jr’s “I Have A Dream” speech.  Reason farther points out that King was also staunchly against the Vietnam war.  He made some incredible observations and made them known to the world in his April 1967 speech:

“I am as deeply concerned about our own troops there as anything else. For it occurs to me that what we are submitting them to in Vietnam is not simply the brutalizing process that goes on in any war where armies face each other and seek to destroy. We are adding cynicism to the process of death, for they must know after a short period there that none of the things we claim to be fighting for are really involved. Before long they must know that their government has sent them into a struggle among Vietnamese, and the more sophisticated surely realize that we are on the side of the wealthy, and the secure, while we create a hell for the poor.”

Take out Vietnam, insert Syria, or Iraq or Iran, and you have a present day analogy of what the hell is really going on.

When will the American people, as a whole, wake up and realize that war does NOTHING but kill and maim innocent people.  Who learns a lesson from war?  Yet we are willing to sacrifice our children on the whim of a government who couldn’t care less about them, or you, for that matter.  It’s madness at it’s best, and until we, as ADULTS, realize WE are allowing our “leaders” to kill our children, we are going to continue to lose the most precious of all gifts…our kids!

 

The Film The Net Playing Out In Real Life

Remember the Sandra Bullock thriller The Net?  The short version is that Her character, Angela Bennett, works from home for a computer software company, most of her friends are on the computer and nearly no one has actually seen her.  She stumbles across a weird virus, isolates it and sends it to a friend who collects them then heads out on a much-needed vacation.  Skipping the pesky middle where the bad guys are trying to kill her and her friends, It turns out the virus was manufactured, then attached to a security program as a backdoor of sorts, granting access to everything on one’s computer system.  There’s more, but I think you get the idea.

If you believe what’s being reported, Edward Snowden confirmed that the NSA and Israel worked together on the Stuxnet worm, which found its way to the Iranian Bushehr Nuclear Plant.  In a BBC article from 2010, Liam O’Murcha, who worked at Symantec at the time, said, “It is a very big project, it is very well planned, it is very well funded…It has an incredible amount of code just to infect those machines.”  He came to the conclusion, at that time, that Stuxnet looked to be targeting Iran, since so many attacks happened in that country.

Add this information with the information that the NSA is data mining using all forms of US communication and the newly revealed security hole found in Google Chrome and this starts to look like an espionage/spy thriller rather than real life events.

Do you remember who the bad guy really was at the end of The Net?  Yeah, it was the computer software company itself, in an effort to grab up the market of security for the government and everyone else.  Today, it was revealed that President Obama held private meetings on Tuesday and Thursday of this week with the heads and reps from Internet tech companies and tech lobbying groups as well as The American Civil Liberties Union.  According to Politico, Thursday’s meeting was so private, it wasn’t included on President Obama’s public calendar.  By the way, have you seen the movie The Net?  Yeah…

All of these meetings have been in an effort, we’re told, to “protect privacy in a digital era.”  The other mission is “how to respect privacy while defending our national security.”  Is that comforting?  Not really.  If the information Snowden has released is accurate, it tells us our government is one of the perpetrators of the privacy breaches.  Don’t forget that after the Bush telecomm spy scandal was revealed, we were told by then-Deputy Director of National Intelligence Donald Kerr that privacy must be redefined.  The new definition is to be, “that government and businesses properly safeguard people’s private communications and financial information.”   

We don’t really need Snowden, or too many others, to tell us the NSA is spying on us.  The NSA, its customer list, and more, was exposed in the brilliant documentary, Washington, You’re Fired, written by Keith Abel and released in 2008 by William Lewis Films.  For those of us paying attention, what Snowden is revealing is not new, but rather a confirmation of everything many have surmised just by knowing the nature of the beast, our government. 

So, how do we combat the beast?  Information is the key.  People need to recognize what is going on.  More importantly, they need to know that this really isn’t some espionage thriller with great looking actors and a multi-million dollar budget.  This is real life, happening right before your eyes, with a multi-TRILLION dollar budget, and, yes, we are PAYING them to spy on us…that old adage holds true, real life is SO much stranger than fiction! 

 

Media Deceit, Aided by White House, Divides Country

One of the stories making news and stirring up trouble seems to have caught many, including those who should know better, off guard.  Without mentioning the article, I would like to just say that the media, that same media that NO ONE says they trust, is doing a GREAT job at keeping our population divided.  It is important to understand, before moving on, that deception and rabble-rousing is nothing new for the media.  We have done extensive research into it and have exposed it in the recently released film, Peddling Influence, available from William Lewis Films.

Moving on, one might ask, "What is it that makes this case so special...Why this case?"  Is it the age of the "victim?"  Is it his "race?"  And, why do many who seem to want to stir the pot keep referring to the "accused" as a white man?  In a day and age when the color of a person's skin should have ZERO bearing on anything, the TRUE focus should have and always should be whether or not a crime was committed.  Yet the focus has been shifted to whether or not this was a racial crime in an effort to start trouble where there should never be trouble.

I’m not accusing the American population of inciting this insidious race issue; I’m outright accusing the mainstream media and the government.  The population, in general, is simply reacting to what is going on around them. 

If anyone truly cared about the facts took a few minutes to look at some figures from the Bureau of Justice, they would find something astounding. 

First, 84% of white people are killed by white people!  Similarly, 93% of black people are killed by  black people!  When strangers are involved, white people kill white strangers at a higher rate than black people kill black strangers!  When it comes to people we know or friends, white-on-white and black-on-black crime is about the same.  We don’t have a race issue, like the media and others would have you believe.  What we have is a blatant disregard for human life…PERIOD!

Now, lets take a look at the media’s duplicitous actions in promoting the racial aspects of this crime.  Apparently, NBC edited the 9-11 call to police, making it appear that the accused was racially profiling the victim.  That wasn’t the case.  People were fired and apologies made.  BUT, how many people actually know the truth, now? 

Isn't it past time for this nation to be colorblind?  This nation was an experiment in freedom.  While things got off to a rocky start, we are well past 400 years on this continent.  European's and Africans, however, were not the first people to step foot on it, but, in fairness to the indigenous population, who brought the most trouble!?!  That being said, we need to understand a few things.

If, as so many think, this country was founded as a "Christian Nation," and the "Founding Fathers" wrote that all men are created equal, then one needs only to check the meaning of "men" or "man" in the book in which the "Christians' profess to believe, the Bible.  Adam, the first "man" means man or mankind.  Therefore, it stands to reason that, just maybe, our "forefathers" were TRULY inspired to write the governing documents for this country, even if they were not yet ready to accept what they wrote.  In essence, all MANKIND was created equal, to be treated EQUALLY, without regard to anything other than the fact that they are "mankind."

In truth, the color of one's skin should NEVER be an issue, not now, not then and not ever, yet the media and our government officials saw their opportunity and ran with it. And many of us have fallen for it.  Remember what our "beloved" former White House Chief of Staff said, "You never let a serious crisis go to waste."  While he went on to say that it is an opportunity to do things you couldn't do before, those "things" don't necessarily have to be good or beneficial.  As for this particular “crisis,” we, as a discerning population, need to recognize this for what it is...an opportunity for those in power to keep us forever divided.

What’s the solution?  Simple.  We lose EVERYTHING that steers us from uniting against our common enemy.  Stop answering questions that refer to race, as in are you African-American, Asian-American, Native American, Hispanic and yes, Caucasian.  These questions are found on census forms, school registration forms, and even surveys online.  We need to also do away with the hyphenated American thing.  Also, we are ALL part of this experiment now, and we need to realize what we have done in the past, so that we NEVER make any such mistakes in the future...AND, it's HIGH time to shed what divides us, be open-minded about what we see and hear and come together against the true enemy of our population...our rogue government and their mouthpiece, the mainstream media!

Full-Fledged Surveillance Society – You’re Living It!

When journalist Glenn Greenwald broke the news about The National Security Agency’s on-going collection of “information on all telephone calls” in Verizon’s vast network, the United States population exploded with questions, demanding answers.  Greenwald revealed that the massive data collection effort started on April 25 and is to end July 19.  And, while Greenwald says he doesn’t know if Verizon is the only telecom under the NSA’s spell, a flip back in time will reveal there are, more than likely, others involved.

Flash back to a December 16, 2005 article in the New York Times in which James Risen and Eric Lichtblau disclosed that the Bush era spy order, which ultimately led to the 2008 FISA Amendment Act, was signed in 2002.  This virtual dragnet of customer communications involved AT&T and Verizon, Sprint Nextel and others.  One company that didn’t turn over records, Qwest, says it was approached about turning over their customer information in February 2001…a full six months prior to the tragic September attack that spurred several pieces of legislation to supposedly save the United States from terrorist attacks.

Anyone interested can get an overview of our country’s surveillance background by watching a clip from the widely acclaimed documentary, Washington, You’re Fired.

The Bush’s wiretapping and data mining was disturbing, but, at the time, most American’s were scared because of the September 11 attacks.  Is it possible more people didn’t recognize the threat to our liberty, or were willing to ignore it, because the population believed it made them safe?

Those Bush Era wiretaps were more than illegal; they were unconstitutional.  Judge Vaughn Walker explains in his decision in Tash Hepting vs AT&T Corp

Accordingly, AT&T’s alleged actions here violate the constitutional rights clearly established in Keith. Moreover, because ‘the very action in question has previously been held unlawful,’ AT&T cannot seriously contend that a reasonable entity in its position could have believed that the alleged domestic dragnet was legal.” Pg 68

Judge Walker was referring to the 1972 Keith Decision, United States v US District Court, a landmark case unanimously upheld by the Supreme Court.  In the decision, the Supreme Court upheld the District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan’s findings that wiretapping was unconstitutional and violated the Fourth Amendment.  This also proves that listening in on other people’s conversations was going on way back in 1972.

Judge Anna Diggs Taylor also found no constitutional basis for the spy program.  She stated that the program violated the existing Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which was already in place to protect the population from an out of control Executive Branch.  Judge Taylor further found that the Bush spy program violated the separation of powers, and the United States population’s rights to both privacy and freedom of speech.  The Sixth Circuit Court answered a government appeal and stayed Judge Taylor’s decision.

The Bush Administration was forced, then, to pass an amendment to FISA, granting retroactive immunity to the telecoms that, willingly and without the warrants required, turned over their customer records.

Today’s NSA/Verizon relationship is much like the Bush NSA/Telecom fiasco.  The NSA required Verizon to hand over information on every single communication throughout Verizon’s network.  The day after his NSA/Verizon bombshell, Greenwald exposed another.  Through its previously secret PRISM program, according to Greenwald, the NSA has been collecting information from users of Apple, Google, Facebook, Skype, Microsoft, Youtube and others, some communications as early as 2007. 

During the Bush wiretapping fiasco, then-Deputy Director of National Intelligence, Donald Kerr, told the US Population it would have to redefine privacy.  Privacy, according to Kerr, can no longer mean anonymity, but that “government and businesses properly safeguard people’s private communications and financial information”, according to the Associated Press.

The question begging an answer is, “If government has now taken it upon itself to safeguard our private communications and financial information, who is going to protect us from the government, the members of which take an oath to defend the Constitution?”  After all, two separate judges found the spy program, under Bush, to be unconstitutional.  And, how does our “Constitutional Expert,” President Obama, not see the unconstitutionality of his spy program?

The more interesting part about the Obama and Bush spy programs, since one seems to be an extension of the other, is that it’s not the first time portions of the United States general population have found themselves being surveilled. 

The Supreme Court cases Katz v United States and Berger v New York, both from 1967, dealt with invasion of privacy.  In Katz, the FBI didn’t bug that actual phone, but the phone booth, itself.  In Berger, New York police bugged Berger’s office.  The factor common in Katz, Berger and the Bush and Obama communications dragnets is the eavesdropping in to private conversations.  In both Katz and Berger, the Supreme Court ruled the procedure unconstitutional because it violated the Fourth Amendment.  Justice Potter Stewart, writing the decision for Katz, established that the Fourth Amendment protected “people,” not simply their property. 

In his Katz decision, Stewart stated:

“…what he seeks to preserve as private, even in an area accessible to the public, may be constitutionally protected.”

What should be clear by now, and not just with those labeled “conspiracy theorists,” is that that this country has become a surveillance society, and it has been as far back as the 1960’s, at the least.  Something else well established is that the United States government is willing to break the law that governs them, the Constitution, in order to spy on the United States population.  Is it any wonder that people refer to the present conditions of the United States as a 1984 Society?

No Way…Those Darned “Conspiracy Theorist” Were Right Again!!!

Columbia, MO – June 7, 2013 - So, you label me a “conspiracy theorist” and make fun of what I say, calling me other names, too, like wacko, nut job, tin-foil-hat wearing idiot.  Can you hear me now…do you believe me now?  Glenn Greenwald’s breaking bombshell Wednesday exposing the NSA on-going collection of “information on all telephone calls” in Verizon’s vast network should be your wake-up call.  Greenwald divulged that the massive data collection effort started on April 25 and ends July 19.  And, while Greenwald says he doesn’t know if Verizon is the only telecom under the NSA’s spell, a flip back in time will tell us that they probably aren’t!

Way back when I had my battle with AT&T over the giant telecom’s sincere lack of integrity and Congress passed the treacherous FISA Amendment Act, all I could think was, “What they’ve done is now totally in the open now.  They will never stop.”  And I was right!  Scores of people tried to warn our country that the government was “listening in” or “gathering the communications” of US citizens, but media and government apologists promptly accused everyone involved in the warning as “kooks” and “conspiracy theorists,” in their efforts to discredit the lot of us.  Well…how do you like us now?  We’ve been telling you the truth all along and you’ve been writing us off…

And, now, the media is STILL in denial, as Anderson Cooper reports about the program AND the fact that government is sucking up your social media info, as well, saying it’s a “highly classified, never before disclosed” program…BULL!  We so-called “conspiracy theorists” have BEEN disclosing it for a LONG TIME!  The ones “never before disclosing” it are people like Anderson Cooper!

Also, they keep talking about the “secret court” like it’s still a secret.  We exposed that egregious entity in Washington, You’re Fired way back in 2008!  AND, for those at home, that film exposes the tyrannical USA PATRIOT Act and SEVERAL pieces of Bush-era right-stripping legislation that were handed over to the Obama Administration.

I have a few things on my mind right now. 

First, does Verizon have ANY customers left?  I can guarantee if I were one, I would not be for long…’cause this is EXACTLY why I left AT&T!

Second, the Democrats can have NOTHING bad to say about the Bush Administration.  In fact, they should be thanking him.  And, the Republicans absolutely CANNOT trounce all over the Obama Administration.  Why?  Because the Bush Administration is the one that handed over all this spy power.  Congratulations those who were tired of the Bush Administration…You voted for Obama and got WAY Bush then you EVER dreamed possible from someone other than a Bush!  Let’s see how you work your way out of this one!

Third, you have also demonized us for being “truthers,” but we have been telling the truth, so how does that one work now?

Fourth, Jim Acosta is saying that people really angry over their phone records being turned over…REALLY!?!  Where were you people back in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008?  Why was it ok then but not now!?!  Plus, I have a personal bone to pick with Acosta.  Back in late 2009, CNN and Jim Acosta aired a virtual hit piece on the “Patriot Movement” and our concerns over our government building of detention centers.  Acosta went on national television, with a straight face, claiming there was no proof our government was doing any such thing.  If he bothered to look into the truth, he would know he was wrong.  That’s okay, though, because I straightened him out by exposing what he refused to in a little article of my own, PLUS, we exposed the FEMA camps for them, since they wouldn’t do it.  Man, I am tired of doing their job for them and not getting paid for it!!!     

Last, but not least, I need SOMEONE to explain to me just what I will be called now, because “conspiracy theorist,” as described by the media, government and their lackeys, just does not fit…so PLEASE, someone, probably at CNN or another mainstream media outlet, enlighten me…I need to know who I am!

Caution!  Common Sense Needed Concerning Jolie

Where has the common sense in this country gone?  People don’t trust the media, yet when the media says something, the people react, instead of first thinking about what is going on.  So it is with Angelina Jolie and the whole I-removed-my-breasts-because-I-MIGHT-get-cancer business.  The recently released film, Peddling Influence, discusses who uses the media, including the pharmaceutical industry. 

While, technically NOT the pharmaceutical industry, the medical industry and pharmaceutical businesses scratch each other’s backs and promote and protect each other, even to the detriment of the patients they both so diligently say they are in business to help.  And, as covered in Peddling Influence, media uses spokesmen and women familiar to the public, often times politicians, actors and actresses, or athletes, to sell their wares and ideas.  Given this bit of information, who better to scare the public into mutilating themselves without cause than Jolie?  After all, she appeals to EVERYONE…men love her and women wish they looked like her…heck, I’ve even heard women say they’d “do her.”  She is the perfect go-to person for something as outlandish as surgically removing perfectly healthy tissue from your body! 

Jolie’s “heartfelt” explanation of why she chose the double mastectomy route is classic.  She used concern for her children and the desire to be with them for as long as she can, plus the ever-woman-empowering “my body, my choice” declarations to push the hype.  Mike Adams, of Natural News, calls all of this out as just what it appears to be, a VERY clever PR campaign by a company bent on securing profits.   

There are a couple of things, though, that nearly everyone has missed.  This part takes common sense, which seems to be sorely lacking these days. 

First, in Jolie’s op-ed, she cites the WHO statistic that 458,000 people die of breast cancer each year.  According to the US government’s Census site, the world’s population is over 7 Billion.  If you do the math, you will find that a mere .0065 PERCENT (YES!  FAR less than 1%!!!) of the world’s population dies from breast cancer.  Lets just ramp this up a bit. Make it “look” better for them.  The WHO Cancer Fact Sheet tells us that in 2008, 7.6 Million deaths were attributed to all cancers.  Going with the WHO reported figure for breast cancer deaths and the same for ALL cancer deaths, this would mean that breast cancer is responsible for only 6% of all cancer related deaths.  Is this really enough to scare people into such drastic procedures?

Second, Jolie did not have cancer.  Yes, her mother died from cancer, but does that automatically mean she will get it?  Also, there are many studies in preventative measures.  PLUS, and this one is the kicker for me, she has so much money that she literally could have ANY TREATMENT SHE WANTED, should she actually GET cancer, unlike the rest of us.  Should she actually get cancer, she could have her breasts removed, if she decided that was the thing to do.  OR, she could visit the Burzynski Clinic in Texas, try the all natural Gerson Therapy, she could go to Mexico for the Hoxsey treatment, she could follow the inspiring guidelines revealed in the wonderful film Forks Over Knives,  The point is, she did not have to mutilate herself and go public, thereby pushing people everywhere to even consider the same course of action, because she has this gene marker. 

The point is, there are preventative options if you find you have the potential for the disease and there are alternative options for cancer treatment.  AND, given what I know from my research for Peddling Influence, about how the Public Relations industry works and how big business manipulates the population through the mainstream media purely for profit, it’s no surprise to me that this is playing out as a master ploy to get people to consider destroying healthy tissue in the name of prevention.  Why?  Follow the money!  There is WAY more money in diagnosing and performing the procedure than there is in simple natural prevention.  Just sayin’!

 

Dear President Obama, Please Save Face and Just Resign…

If you are a part of the Obama Administration, you have GOT to be praying for some sort of major distraction.  With the revelations coming out about Benghazi, the multiple Department of Justice and the IRS scandals, the revelation about siblings of major media outlets working on the National Security Council…let’s just say, it’s been a ROUGH week or so…and Jon Stewart is REALLY not helping…the Obama Administration, that is!  Right now, maybe the best thing for you to do, Mr. President, is just resign.  While you’re at it, take Hilary, Holder and the rest of your administration with you.

Benghazi has been falling apart for some time, but this past few days have proven extremely damning.  Who knew what, when and who rewrote it are BIG issues right now, along with exactly why help was so elusive, when it was known help was not far.  Also, the report that Ambassador Chris Stevens was well liked in Libya should, at the very least, draw out some questions.  Puzzled?  You should be! 

The IRS and DoJ stuff is VERY interesting.  Obama’s IRS and DoJ basically handed over proof of what the TEA Party and Patriots have been decrying as the intrusive nature of big government and the unfair tax practices.  For YEARS, Ron Paul supporters, the ORIGINAL TEA Partiers (Remember, Taxed Enough Already!?!) and independent Patriots have been exposing the nefarious overreaching, self-indulgent nature of government and warning people what can and probably will happen if certain conditions are right.  Well, to use Jon Stewart’s own words, the IRS and the DoJ have quite literally “shifted the burden of proof from the tin foil-behatted to the government.”

And what’s going on when the DoJ is scooping up months of communication on a reported twenty different lines at the Associated Press, as well as telling the nation they don’t need warrants to gather your e-mails and social media postings?  Has Eric Holder lost his mind?  Holder, and by extension the entire Obama Administration, needs to be briefed on former Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart’s ruling in Katz vs. US, which was exposed in the film, Blood of Patriots, a film about our Bill of Rights.  Stewart ruled that The Fourth Amendment protects people, not just their property, and that protection extends to public places, because “what he seeks to preserve as private, even in an area accessible to the public, may be constitutionally protected.”

Strictly speaking, us “tin-foil-hat-wearing conspiracy theorists” have been trying to tell people this is going on for YEARS, and we weren’t playing favorites.  We were exposing the Bush Administration, as well.  And, we have taken our share of punches, demonized, and put on lists by the likes of the Southern Poverty Law Center.  (Yes, we have been a proud member of this list for years!)

While the nefarious wiretapping scandal of the century happened under the Bush Administration, leading to the ultra egregious FISA Amendment Act, giving retroactive immunity to illegal Telecom activity, this particular wiretapping episode is really quite humorous.  (Yes, it should still be TOTALLY illegal!)  First of all, what is the DoJ looking for that they feel the need to compromise journalist/source confidentiality and secondly, did the Associated Press REALLY think they were immune to the out-of-control government?  Truly laughable!  

With such exposure all at once by the mainstream media, vindicating those who dare ask questions and speak out, and having watched the mainstream give Obama and his administration a pass for their behavior at almost every turn, you just have to wonder,  “What’s up?”  Has Harry Potter FINALLY taken back his invisibility cloak?  Are people REALLY starting SEE the corruption?  Or, maybe there is something else going on.  Maybe the mainstream has grown weary of the lies and deception.  OR, in true conspiracy theory style, MAYBE the power elite who truly run this government are tired of their new toy.  Whatever it is, Mr. President…it might be time to cut your losses, save some dignity and just call it quits!

 

“Conspiracy Theorists”…Right Again!

Well…if that don’t beat all!  This week, an interesting piece of news surfaced that should have buddies Dick Morris and Sean Hannity repeating their now-infamous 2009 G20 confession about how right “conspiracy theorists” have been.  This time it’s about a whole different topic, and, if Morris and Hannity are truly journalists, they, along with all other mainstream press, need to be extremely vocal about their revelation.

In their 2009 release, Camp FEMA, independent filmmakers William Lewis and Gary Franchi exposed the early FEMA Directives reveal methods our own FBI uses to “combat perceived threats to the existing social and political order” (FEMA Directive 3).  Camp FEMA discloses that throughout four different Presidential administrations, FBI Director J Edgar Hoover ordered agents to “expose, disrupt, misdirect, discredit, or otherwise neutralize” the activities of certain dissident political groups within the U.S.  The FBI claimed success in preventing local chapters of some of these “targeted” groups from forming. 

That was then, this is now.  A May 10, 2013 article on the CNN Political Ticker revealed that the US Internal Revenue Service had been targeting newly forming TEA Party groups by dragging their feet to approve their requests for Tax Exempt Status.  One-fourth of the applications flagged for farther scrutiny were pulled aside because “they had the names ‘tea party’ and ‘patriot,’ “ according to the IRS Director of tax exempt organizations, Lois Lerner.  And, by the way, those with concerns about federal taxes were also one of the groups targeted by the infamous February 2009 MIAC Report. 

Now might be a good time to discuss something else pointed out in Camp FEMA.  Citing Brian Glick’s book War at Home, the film discusses the four main methods used by the FBI when conducting their often-illegal counter-intelligence practices.  Harassment though the legal system seems an eerie fit in this particular scenario.  One of the tactics used to harass is discriminatorily enforcing tax laws.  While technically not “discriminatorily enforcing” any tax law, they are using laws regarding tax exempt status to hold up approval of the groups opposed to the current administration.

Lewis has recently called the mainstream media into question in his latest film, Peddling Influence.  Regarding that, in another bit of news, concerning a clear conflict of interest, NewsMax revealed that the Presidents of both ABC and CBS have siblings working for the Obama Administration’s National Security Council.  CBS’s David Rhodes’ brother, Ben, happens to be the Deputy Assistant to the President and the Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications.   ABC’s Ben Sherwood’s sister, Elizabeth Sherwood Randall, is the Special Assistant to the President and the White House Coordinator for Arms Control and WMD, Proliferation and Terrorism.  One has to wonder if that is why certain topics regarding maybe Benghazi and Fast and Furious get very little coverage in the mainstream.  Add to that the information that White House Press Secretary Jay Carney is married to an ABC senior national news correspondent, Claire Shipman, and the mind begins to reel with “conspiracy,” or maybe just good old-fashioned concern!

Wow, is that the voice of our dear President Obama, ringing in my ears, “…you've grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that's at the root of all our problems…They'll warn that tyranny always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices.”

Needless to say, Morris, Hannity and scores of others, including the present and past administrations, need to own up to the fact that those they have vilified as “conspiracy theorists” have been getting it right FAR more often than anyone remotely connected to media or government.  It’s time to dump the alphabet news agencies and follow alternative media.  While Morris, Hannity and even President Obama may laugh at you, it’s obvious you will be far better informed!

Peddling Influence Exposes Mainstream Media Agenda

Many people ask what the motivation was to produce Peddling Influence, a documentary exposing the mainstream media.  After all, they say, most people know there is a problem, as approval ratings for the media clearly show.  Many feel news outlets have some sort of agenda. The project didn’t start out as an expose’ on media, though.  Therein lies the real reason William Lewis Films chose the timely topic. 

“It’s funny,” says writer Debbie Lewis, “I started this project to expose the many times in our history that wars were orchestrated rather than fought to truly defend out nation.  One thing led to another, and BOOM…we shifted directions!”    

Lewis says the catalyst for this change came while doing research.  She stumbled across an attention-grabbing quote by American journalist John Swinton.  “At a ceremony recognizing him for his body of journalistic work, Swinton is quoted as saying, ‘There is no such thing, at this stage in the world’s history in America, as an independent press.  You know it and I know it.  I am paid for keeping honest opinions out of the paper.’  When I read that, I automatically assumed it was a recent quote, not knowing anything about John Swinton.  Turns out, he made that statement in 1880!  How is that for a matter-of-fact testimony about journalism in this country?” 

The Swinton revelation was cited in an essay by Hamilton Holt titled Commercialism and Journalism from the very early 1900’s.  It is still appropriate today.

“The problem with our media is multi-faceted,” states Lewis.  “You have advertisers spending incredible amounts of money with media outlets, government officials trying to control what becomes news, those whom the media actually consider experts, often times the outright lying while reporting the news and believe it or not, we have actually had to contend with foreign governments using our own media against us to sway our opinions!”

Peddling Influence reveals that, in 2011, advertisers were projected to spend a whopping $128-plus Billion to reach our population.  That equates to roughly $410 per person in the United States. 

The film revisits the Telecom Scandal and how the Bush Administration asked the New York Times to sit on an article revealing the truth about when and what led to the administration approaching our nations major Telecom’s about turning over client records.

Who the media consider experts is also divulged in Peddling Influence.  “Anything said or done by government officials is considered expert information.  Given the approval rating of both congress and our President, that’s a bit scary for me!” exclaims Lewis.  Others considered “experts” by mainstream media are high-ranking businessmen and women, well-known, popular people, actors & actresses, and athletes.  By using them as experts, the film reveals, media has plausible deniability if it proves to be untrue.

The film also proves how extremely powerful the use of images are in swaying popular opinion. Recently, both Fox News and CNN used footage from totally different events while reporting overseas news. 

Peddling Influence discloses both England and Israel’s use of our own media to garner support for their own causes, and how, before World War I, JP Morgan and friends bought the news interests of the top twenty-five news outlets to control what was reported. 

The film closes with a powerful quote by none-other than media mogul Ted Turner, “The media is too concentrated, too few people own too much.  There’s really only five companies that control 90 percent of what we read, see and hear.  It’s not healthy.”  Truer words were never spoken!

The Proper Media Response

Someone recently posted an older article by Fox News about a burglary and arrest.  One has to wonder how the article from March 2012 about the arrested homeowner would have been reported if our Constitutionally-protected Free Press was in place.  While Homer Wright was simply defending himself, his wife and his home against burglary, this Army Veteran was arrested.  Why?  Because Chicago doesn’t allow guns…So, what’s Mr. Wright supposed to do, let the burglar pilfer through his stuff while waiting for the cops?  And, before you read the article and tell me, “well, it says the burglar was only after alcohol,” does it really matter what he was after? 

Don’t we have a constitutional right to protect ourselves?  More law officers are telling us they may not be able to respond quickly because of budget cuts or other issues.  Does it really matter how quickly they respond?  Why can’t we take the responsibility for our own protection?  By the way, the burglar had been “arrested at least 13 times since 2009.”  Yet, whose photo accompanies the article and what was reported FIRST in this misguided article?  Mr. Wright’s and that he “was arrested because he had two previous weapons convictions…”  Mr. Wright was treated like a criminal, not only by the police, but by the mainstream press, as well.

The Alex Jones/Piers Morgan “debate” was interesting.  Jones took no time to light into Morgan about Morgan’s views on gun control, and the interview, and Jones’ passionate temper, escalated from there.  People, like Morgan and other anti-gun supporters, miss the main point.  In the United States of America, we already have a massive “study” about gun control…the handgun ban and trigger lock law in Washington D.C.

The Joke’s on you…You Voted For Him

The 2012 Presidential Election cycle is over, and President Obama emerged the winner.  For many of us, this was not a surprise.  We knew Romney could not beat him.  We did our research.  Many would blame the people who voted for third party candidates, boldly and tirelessly stating that a vote for anyone but Romney was a vote for Obama.  Part of the blame has to go to those who have no real idea for who or what they are voting.  More people than ever before are concerned about their loss of freedoms, yet they did nothing to protect them.  Also, I lay the blame squarely on the heads of the Republicans.  If they wanted to win, they should have nominated someone who could beat Obama, not someone who was basically his Republican clone.  Freedom-loving Americans just could not bring themselves to vote for Romney, as we know all too well he does NOT support our freedoms.  But then, neither does Obama!

Bloomberg Goes Against NY State’s Original Thoughts on Second Amendment

Tyranny Abounds in US As Constitutional Checks and Balances Fail

As our nation continues its downward spiral from the Supreme Court’s Obamacare decision, a vision of clarity settles over some of the people.  While it’s true we have three separate branches of government, the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial, what did we learn about them during the upsetting ruling?  Set up as a safeguard to protect our population from any one of them becoming out-of-control, over-enthusiastic, or downright dictatorial, our three-pronged security system has now utterly failed us and it may be time for some sort of revolution.  Not a violent, bloody revolution, but a constitutional education revelation, of sorts.

Another Independence Day has come and gone.  Folks were out celebrating as if nothing was going on, yet this year, like years past, has been an eye-opener, if you’re concerned about your freedom!  Once the Land of the Free, Home of the Brave, the united States of America has been reduced to a land of tyranny and shame. 

Our people have forgotten what this country is about and that our founding generation put safeguards in our governing documents to protect us from despotic governments.  Documentaries like Blood of Patriots and Don’t Tread On Me reach out to remind us what our rights are supposed to be and what made this country the envy of the world.  Yet, we celebrate this Independence Day more oppressed than just a year ago.  Should we truly reflect over this past year, we would see our country is plagued with some of the most ridiculous rulings and considerations, and realize they are neither isolated nor unusual.  Read Entire Entry

 

Derelict Congress gets SCOTUS Pass on Unconstitutional Obamacare

Like everyone else, I have been awaiting the Supreme Court’s decision regarding Obamacare, hoping to see some glimmer of constitutionality.  After the initial reports on the ruling, and ignoring the mis-steps of FOX News and CNN, livid would have been too mild a word to describe my feelings.  The argument against Obamacare should have been made differently if a different outcome was expected.  SCOTUS made their ruling based on the three arguments our derelict government used to defend their position.

In their infinite subversion of our Constitutional Rights, our government argued they could use the Commerce Clause, the Necessary and Proper Clause, or the Tax and Duty Clause for the legality of Obamacare.  Read Entire Entry

Remember the Borg from Star Trek: The Next Generation?  The attempt to assimilate us is on, and you better be paying attention!  I receive an e-mail from someone in the Maryland GOP who recently forwarded a message from the their chairman.  The e-mail cited a speech given by Karl Rove at the MD GOP’s Red, White and Blue dinner and is calling for support to make Maryland a two-party state!  What the heck?  Did Karl Rove and/or the MD GOP fall on their heads?  This country was NOT founded on party politics.  I’m not totally sure how I got on the Maryland GOP e-mail’s list, but, hey, at least I know what they are promoting!  Read Entire Entry

 

Can Ron Paul Save The Systemic Extinction of the GOP?

The only thing going for the GOP right now is that Ron Paul is still on their Presidential ticket.  That, much to the chagrin of the party, has brought the support of many fed-up Democrats (Blue Republican is proof of that!), Constitution Party members and Libertarians.  Another demographic seen moving towards the GOP are younger, libertarian-leaning folks.  Paul has managed to liven up the GOP, as the many state caucuses have proven.  But does the GOP care?  Are they willing to reach out and embrace these people?  The massive support for Paul and a recent article sheds much-needed light on the “Grand Old Party” and the fact that, unless they are willing to accept an injection of young, fresh, yet conservative, ideas, they truly are a dinosaur in need of registry on the endangered species list. Constitutional Government In Our Grasp

As an alternate in the #1 spot for our county in Missouri, I went to our district convention, just in case there were some delegate no-shows.  What a chance to get to see the process!  I was seated, as some didn’t show up.  The majority in the crowd were not Paul supporters, even though they claimed to want to drive our nation back to a constitutional government. 

In a room filled with Romney, Paul and, yes, Santorum people, all were saying their main goal was to oust the current president in the upcoming election.  They all want someone who to uphold the principles in our Constitution…at least that was their rhetoric!   Read Entire Entry

I was privileged to be an alternate to our district convention this year, and was actually seated!  What an opportunity!  Most of the crowd were either Santorum or Romney supporters, and I think there were even a couple of Gingrich supporters there.  Their main objective, so they say, was to unseat our current president.  Nice goal! 

There were a bunch of Santorum supporters there and I have to admire their support for him, as I would have done the same thing for Paul!  There was no animosity, but you could tell the supporters from the other candidates really wished we weren't there.  Many continued voting anything but Paul...They claim to be supporters of the Constitution, but I have a feeling they don't quite understand it.  What a day and a chance to stand with so many people who actually DO!  Read Entire Entry

I must admit, when I called the Gaylord Office, the fellow who answered the phone there was more than polite and listened to my concerns.  The lady who answered in Lansing was polite, but I could tell she was tired of dealing with the issue.  I repeat, though, she wasn't rude.

There is a mess brewing all over this country, and it actually has been for some time.  More and more we see our basic rights being taken by a callus and over-reaching government bent on “controlling” things that are not part of there power to control.  

In my city, Columbia, MO, there is a desire to “attract” businesses by what is commonly referred to as EEZ, Enhanced Enterprise Zone.  Sounds innocuous enough, right?  Well…before you say that attracting business is a great idea, and it is, please consider the methods by which they choose to do it.  Read Entire Entry

 

Gallup Blacks Out Ron Paul In New Poll

Gallup has joined the ranks of the suspicious, with regard to blacking out Ron Paul.  Their latest poll and a head-to-head showdown between Obama and the Republican hopefuls is disturbing and in more than one way.  The results reported on April 2, 2012 show Obama’s lead over Romney is expanding and his lead over Santorum is larger still.  BUT, what they failed to do is include Ron Paul in the poll or results.  This may not seem important, but what is shows it that the mainstream media is still driving our elections!

A Ron Paul Presidency; What’s In It For You?

Fresh off an incredible victory in many local first phase caucuses in Missouri’s process and his ignored win in the Virgin Islands, Ron Paul and supporters gear up for the big one in Missouri, and elsewhere.  The media doesn’t take him seriously, but his supporters sure do.  In the face of what non-Paul supporters may think is utter defeat from the past several primary/caucus races, Paul supporters are nearly rabid with their fervor for delegates.  Why?  Because they know something others don’t seem to grasp; the electoral process and what’s at stake if he loses.

While Romney, the obvious du-jour choice among many bent on re-tooling, or better yet, controlling, the GOP presidential race, touts his policies and rides his wave to glory, Santorum seems to be imploding, like many of the would be GOP hopefuls before him.   Read Entry Here

 

Spring has sprung and so has the SPLC

Spring has rolled around again and Mark Potok and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has released yet another Intelligence Report listing “Active Patriot Groups” for the past year.  Nothing new there, but one could hope that, at least this year, they would have done their homework and the list would contain actual groups.  Not so!  Once again, the SPLC’s “list” contains feature length films, film companies, websites, and radio programs.  Read Entry Here

Our Presidential Election Cycle is in full swing and Super Tuesday is just around the corner.  Watching the past few state elections, it appears our general population is missing some vital information…an in depth understanding of our constitutional republic and founding documents.  In general, We-the-People have allowed our government to over-run us, in part, because it gives us some sense of security, whether it be from foreign enemies, “terrorists,” or whether it be financial, as in welfare and social security.  We have forgotten that we have the ultimate power.  Read Entry Here
