Full-Fledged Surveillance Society – You’re Living It!
Debbie Lewis
June 14, 2013

When journalist Glenn Greenwald broke the news about The National Security Agency’s on-going collection of “information on all telephone calls” in Verizon’s vast network, the United States population exploded with questions, demanding answers.  Greenwald revealed that the massive data collection effort started on April 25 and is to end July 19.  And, while Greenwald says he doesn’t know if Verizon is the only telecom under the NSA’s spell, a flip back in time will reveal there are, more than likely, others involved.

Flash back to a December 16, 2005 article in the New York Times in which James Risen and Eric Lichtblau disclosed that the Bush era spy order, which ultimately led to the 2008 FISA Amendment Act, was signed in 2002.  This virtual dragnet of customer communications involved AT&T and Verizon, Sprint Nextel and others.  One company that didn’t turn over records, Qwest, says it was approached about turning over their customer information in February 2001…a full six months prior to the tragic September attack that spurred several pieces of legislation to supposedly save the United States from terrorist attacks.

Anyone interested can get an overview of our country’s surveillance background by watching a clip from the widely acclaimed documentary, Washington, You’re Fired.

The Bush’s wiretapping and data mining was disturbing, but, at the time, most American’s were scared because of the September 11 attacks.  Is it possible more people didn’t recognize the threat to our liberty, or were willing to ignore it, because the population believed it made them safe?

Those Bush Era wiretaps were more than illegal; they were unconstitutional.  Judge Vaughn Walker explains in his decision in Tash Hepting vs AT&T Corp

Accordingly, AT&T’s alleged actions here violate the constitutional rights clearly established in Keith. Moreover, because ‘the very action in question has previously been held unlawful,’ AT&T cannot seriously contend that a reasonable entity in its position could have believed that the alleged domestic dragnet was legal.” Pg 68

Judge Walker was referring to the 1972 Keith Decision, United States v US District Court, a landmark case unanimously upheld by the Supreme Court.  In the decision, the Supreme Court upheld the District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan’s findings that wiretapping was unconstitutional and violated the Fourth Amendment.  This also proves that listening in on other people’s conversations was going on way back in 1972.

Judge Anna Diggs Taylor also found no constitutional basis for the spy program.  She stated that the program violated the existing Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which was already in place to protect the population from an out of control Executive Branch.  Judge Taylor further found that the Bush spy program violated the separation of powers, and the United States population’s rights to both privacy and freedom of speech.  The Sixth Circuit Court answered a government appeal and stayed Judge Taylor’s decision.

The Bush Administration was forced, then, to pass an amendment to FISA, granting retroactive immunity to the telecoms that, willingly and without the warrants required, turned over their customer records.

Today’s NSA/Verizon relationship is much like the Bush NSA/Telecom fiasco.  The NSA required Verizon to hand over information on every single communication throughout Verizon’s network.  The day after his NSA/Verizon bombshell, Greenwald exposed another.  Through its previously secret PRISM program, according to Greenwald, the NSA has been collecting information from users of Apple, Google, Facebook, Skype, Microsoft, Youtube and others, some communications as early as 2007.

During the Bush wiretapping fiasco, then-Deputy Director of National Intelligence, Donald Kerr, told the US Population it would have to redefine privacy.  Privacy, according to Kerr, can no longer mean anonymity, but that “government and businesses properly safeguard people’s private communications and financial information”, according to the Associated Press.

The question begging an answer is, “If government has now taken it upon itself to safeguard our private communications and financial information, who is going to protect us from the government, the members of which take an oath to defend the Constitution?”  After all, two separate judges found the spy program, under Bush, to be unconstitutional.  And, how does our “Constitutional Expert,” President Obama, not see the unconstitutionality of his spy program?

The more interesting part about the Obama and Bush spy programs, since one seems to be an extension of the other, is that it’s not the first time portions of the United States general population have found themselves being surveilled.

The Supreme Court cases Katz v United States and Berger v New York, both from 1967, dealt with invasion of privacy.  In Katz, the FBI didn’t bug that actual phone, but the phone booth, itself.  In Berger, New York police bugged Berger’s office.  The factor common in Katz, Berger and the Bush and Obama communications dragnets is the eavesdropping in to private conversations.  In both Katz and Berger, the Supreme Court ruled the procedure unconstitutional because it violated the Fourth Amendment.  Justice Potter Stewart, writing the decision for Katz, established that the Fourth Amendment protected “people,” not simply their property.

In his Katz decision, Stewart stated:

“…what he seeks to preserve as private, even in an area accessible to the public, may be constitutionally protected.”

What should be clear by now, and not just with those labeled “conspiracy theorists,” is that that this country has become a surveillance society, and it has been as far back as the 1960’s, at the least.  Something else well established is that the United States government is willing to break the law that governs them, the Constitution, in order to spy on the United States population.  Is it any wonder that people refer to the present conditions of the United States as a 1984 Society?

No Way…Those Darned “Conspiracy Theorist” Were Right Again!!!
Debbie Lewis, William Lewis Films

Columbia, MO – June 7, 2013 - So, you label me a “conspiracy theorist” and make fun of what I say, calling me other names, too, like wacko, nut job, tin-foil-hat wearing idiot.  Can you hear me now…do you believe me now?  Glenn Greenwald’s breaking bombshell Wednesday exposing the NSA on-going collection of “information on all telephone calls” in Verizon’s vast network should be your wake-up call.  Greenwald divulged that the massive data collection effort started on April 25 and ends July 19.  And, while Greenwald says he doesn’t know if Verizon is the only telecom under the NSA’s spell, a flip back in time will tell us that they probably aren’t!

Way back when I had my battle with AT&T over the giant telecom’s sincere lack of integrity and Congress passed the treacherous FISA Amendment Act, all I could think was, “What they’ve done is now totally in the open now.  They will never stop.”  And I was right!  Scores of people tried to warn our country that the government was “listening in” or “gathering the communications” of US citizens, but media and government apologists promptly accused everyone involved in the warning as “kooks” and “conspiracy theorists,” in their efforts to discredit the lot of us.  Well…how do you like us now?  We’ve been telling you the truth all along and you’ve been writing us off…

And, now, the media is STILL in denial, as Anderson Cooper reports about the program AND the fact that government is sucking up your social media info, as well, saying it’s a “highly classified, never before disclosed” program…BULL!  We so-called “conspiracy theorists” have BEEN disclosing it for a LONG TIME!  The ones “never before disclosing” it are people like Anderson Cooper!

Also, they keep talking about the “secret court” like it’s still a secret.  We exposed that egregious entity in Washington, You’re Fired way back in 2008!  AND, for those at home, that film exposes the tyrannical USA PATRIOT Act and SEVERAL pieces of Bush-era right-stripping legislation that were handed over to the Obama Administration.

I have a few things on my mind right now.

First, does Verizon have ANY customers left?  I can guarantee if I were one, I would not be for long…’cause this is EXACTLY why I left AT&T!

Second, the Democrats can have NOTHING bad to say about the Bush Administration.  In fact, they should be thanking him.  And, the Republicans absolutely CANNOT trounce all over the Obama Administration.  Why?  Because the Bush Administration is the one that handed over all this spy power.  Congratulations those who were tired of the Bush Administration…You voted for Obama and got WAY Bush then you EVER dreamed possible from someone other than a Bush!  Let’s see how you work your way out of this one!

Third, you have also demonized us for being “truthers,” but we have been telling the truth, so how does that one work now?

Fourth, Jim Acosta is saying that people really angry over their phone records being turned over…REALLY!?!  Where were you people back in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008?  Why was it ok then but not now!?!  Plus, I have a personal bone to pick with Acosta.  Back in late 2009, CNN and Jim Acosta aired a virtual hit piece on the “Patriot Movement” and our concerns over our government building of detention centers.  Acosta went on national television, with a straight face, claiming there was no proof our government was doing any such thing.  If he bothered to look into the truth, he would know he was wrong.  That’s okay, though, because I straightened him out by exposing what he refused to in a little article of my own, PLUS, we exposed the FEMA camps for them, since they wouldn’t do it.  Man, I am tired of doing their job for them and not getting paid for it!!!

Last, but not least, I need SOMEONE to explain to me just what I will be called now, because “conspiracy theorist,” as described by the media, government and their lackeys, just does not fit…so PLEASE, someone, probably at CNN or another mainstream media outlet, enlighten me…I need to know who I am!

Caution!  Common Sense Needed Concerning Jolie
Debbie Lewis
May 22, 2013

Where has the common sense in this country gone?  People don’t trust the media, yet when the media says something, the people react, instead of first thinking about what is going on.  So it is with Angelina Jolie and the whole I-removed-my-breasts-because-I-MIGHT-get-cancer business.  The recently released film, Peddling Influence, discusses who uses the media, including the pharmaceutical industry.

While, technically NOT the pharmaceutical industry, the medical industry and pharmaceutical businesses scratch each other’s backs and promote and protect each other, even to the detriment of the patients they both so diligently say they are in business to help.  And, as covered in Peddling Influence, media uses spokesmen and women familiar to the public, often times politicians, actors and actresses, or athletes, to sell their wares and ideas.  Given this bit of information, who better to scare the public into mutilating themselves without cause than Jolie?  After all, she appeals to EVERYONE…men love her and women wish they looked like her…heck, I’ve even heard women say they’d “do her.”  She is the perfect go-to person for something as outlandish as surgically removing perfectly healthy tissue from your body!

Jolie’s “heartfelt” explanation of why she chose the double mastectomy route is classic.  She used concern for her children and the desire to be with them for as long as she can, plus the ever-woman-empowering “my body, my choice” declarations to push the hype.  Mike Adams, of Natural News, calls all of this out as just what it appears to be, a VERY clever PR campaign by a company bent on securing profits.

There are a couple of things, though, that nearly everyone has missed.  This part takes common sense, which seems to be sorely lacking these days.

First, in Jolie’s op-ed, she cites the WHO statistic that 458,000 people die of breast cancer each year.  According to the US government’s Census site, the world’s population is over 7 Billion.  If you do the math, you will find that a mere .0065 PERCENT (YES!  FAR less than 1%!!!) of the world’s population dies from breast cancer.  Lets just ramp this up a bit. Make it “look” better for them.  The WHO Cancer Fact Sheet tells us that in 2008, 7.6 Million deaths were attributed to all cancers.  Going with the WHO reported figure for breast cancer deaths and the same for ALL cancer deaths, this would mean that breast cancer is responsible for only 6% of all cancer related deaths.  Is this really enough to scare people into such drastic procedures?

Second, Jolie did not have cancer.  Yes, her mother died from cancer, but does that automatically mean she will get it?  Also, there are many studies in preventative measures.  PLUS, and this one is the kicker for me, she has so much money that she literally could have ANY TREATMENT SHE WANTED, should she actually GET cancer, unlike the rest of us.  Should she actually get cancer, she could have her breasts removed, if she decided that was the thing to do.  OR, she could visit the Burzynski Clinic in Texas, try the all natural Gerson Therapy, she could go to Mexico for the Hoxsey treatment, she could follow the inspiring guidelines revealed in the wonderful film Forks Over Knives,  The point is, she did not have to mutilate herself and go public, thereby pushing people everywhere to even consider the same course of action, because she has this gene marker.

The point is, there are preventative options if you find you have the potential for the disease and there are alternative options for cancer treatment.  AND, given what I know from my research for Peddling Influence, about how the Public Relations industry works and how big business manipulates the population through the mainstream media purely for profit, it’s no surprise to me that this is playing out as a master ploy to get people to consider destroying healthy tissue in the name of prevention.  Why?  Follow the money!  There is WAY more money in diagnosing and performing the procedure than there is in simple natural prevention.  Just sayin’!

Dear President Obama, Please Save Face and Just Resign…
Debbie Lewis, www.WilliamLewisFilms.com
May 16, 2013

If you are a part of the Obama Administration, you have GOT to be praying for some sort of major distraction.  With the revelations coming out about Benghazi, the multiple Department of Justice and the IRS scandals, the revelation about siblings of major media outlets working on the National Security Council…let’s just say, it’s been a ROUGH week or so…and Jon Stewart is REALLY not helping…the Obama Administration, that is!  Right now, maybe the best thing for you to do, Mr. President, is just resign.  While you’re at it, take Hilary, Holder and the rest of your administration with you.

Benghazi has been falling apart for some time, but this past few days have proven extremely damning.  Who knew what, when and who rewrote it are BIG issues right now, along with exactly why help was so elusive, when it was known help was not far.  Also, the report that Ambassador Chris Stevens was well liked in Libya should, at the very least, draw out some questions.  Puzzled?  You should be!

The IRS and DoJ stuff is VERY interesting.  Obama’s IRS and DoJ basically handed over proof of what the TEA Party and Patriots have been decrying as the intrusive nature of big government and the unfair tax practices.  For YEARS, Ron Paul supporters, the ORIGINAL TEA Partiers (Remember, Taxed Enough Already!?!) and independent Patriots have been exposing the nefarious overreaching, self-indulgent nature of government and warning people what can and probably will happen if certain conditions are right.  Well, to use Jon Stewart’s own words, the IRS and the DoJ have quite literally “shifted the burden of proof from the tin foil-behatted to the government.”

And what’s going on when the DoJ is scooping up months of communication on a reported twenty different lines at the Associated Press, as well as telling the nation they don’t need warrants to gather your e-mails and social media postings?  Has Eric Holder lost his mind?  Holder, and by extension the entire Obama Administration, needs to be briefed on former Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart’s ruling in Katz vs. US, which was exposed in the film, Blood of Patriots, a film about our Bill of Rights.  Stewart ruled that The Fourth Amendment protects people, not just their property, and that protection extends to public places, because “what he seeks to preserve as private, even in an area accessible to the public, may be constitutionally protected.”

Strictly speaking, us “tin-foil-hat-wearing conspiracy theorists” have been trying to tell people this is going on for YEARS, and we weren’t playing favorites.  We were exposing the Bush Administration, as well.  And, we have taken our share of punches, demonized, and put on lists by the likes of the Southern Poverty Law Center.  (Yes, we have been a proud member of this list for years!)

While the nefarious wiretapping scandal of the century happened under the Bush Administration, leading to the ultra egregious FISA Amendment Act, giving retroactive immunity to illegal Telecom activity, this particular wiretapping episode is really quite humorous.  (Yes, it should still be TOTALLY illegal!)  First of all, what is the DoJ looking for that they feel the need to compromise journalist/source confidentiality and secondly, did the Associated Press REALLY think they were immune to the out-of-control government?  Truly laughable!

With such exposure all at once by the mainstream media, vindicating those who dare ask questions and speak out, and having watched the mainstream give Obama and his administration a pass for their behavior at almost every turn, you just have to wonder,  “What’s up?”  Has Harry Potter FINALLY taken back his invisibility cloak?  Are people REALLY starting SEE the corruption?  Or, maybe there is something else going on.  Maybe the mainstream has grown weary of the lies and deception.  OR, in true conspiracy theory style, MAYBE the power elite who truly run this government are tired of their new toy.  Whatever it is, Mr. President…it might be time to cut your losses, save some dignity and just call it quits!

“Conspiracy Theorists”…Right Again!
Debbie Lewis
May 15, 2013

Well…if that don’t beat all!  This week, an interesting piece of news surfaced that should have buddies Dick Morris and Sean Hannity repeating their now-infamous 2009 G20 confession about how right “conspiracy theorists” have been.  This time it’s about a whole different topic, and, if Morris and Hannity are truly journalists, they, along with all other mainstream press, need to be extremely vocal about their revelation.

In their 2009 release, Camp FEMA, independent filmmakers William Lewis and Gary Franchi exposed the early FEMA Directives reveal methods our own FBI uses to “combat perceived threats to the existing social and political order” (FEMA Directive 3).  Camp FEMA discloses that throughout four different Presidential administrations, FBI Director J Edgar Hoover ordered agents to “expose, disrupt, misdirect, discredit, or otherwise neutralize” the activities of certain dissident political groups within the U.S.  The FBI claimed success in preventing local chapters of some of these “targeted” groups from forming.

That was then, this is now.  A May 10, 2013 article on the CNN Political Ticker revealed that the US Internal Revenue Service had been targeting newly forming TEA Party groups by dragging their feet to approve their requests for Tax Exempt Status.  One-fourth of the applications flagged for farther scrutiny were pulled aside because “they had the names ‘tea party’ and ‘patriot,’ “ according to the IRS Director of tax exempt organizations, Lois Lerner.  And, by the way, those with concerns about federal taxes were also one of the groups targeted by the infamous February 2009 MIAC Report.

Now might be a good time to discuss something else pointed out in Camp FEMA.  Citing Brian Glick’s book War at Home, the film discusses the four main methods used by the FBI when conducting their often-illegal counter-intelligence practices.  Harassment though the legal system seems an eerie fit in this particular scenario.  One of the tactics used to harass is discriminatorily enforcing tax laws.  While technically not “discriminatorily enforcing” any tax law, they are using laws regarding tax exempt status to hold up approval of the groups opposed to the current administration.

Lewis has recently called the mainstream media into question in his latest film, Peddling Influence.  Regarding that, in another bit of news, concerning a clear conflict of interest, NewsMax revealed that the Presidents of both ABC and CBS have siblings working for the Obama Administration’s National Security Council.  CBS’s David Rhodes’ brother, Ben, happens to be the Deputy Assistant to the President and the Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications.   ABC’s Ben Sherwood’s sister, Elizabeth Sherwood Randall, is the Special Assistant to the President and the White House Coordinator for Arms Control and WMD, Proliferation and Terrorism.  One has to wonder if that is why certain topics regarding maybe Benghazi and Fast and Furious get very little coverage in the mainstream.  Add to that the information that White House Press Secretary Jay Carney is married to an ABC senior national news correspondent, Claire Shipman, and the mind begins to reel with “conspiracy,” or maybe just good old-fashioned concern!

Wow, is that the voice of our dear President Obama, ringing in my ears, “…you've grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that's at the root of all our problems…They'll warn that tyranny always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices.”

Needless to say, Morris, Hannity and scores of others, including the present and past administrations, need to own up to the fact that those they have vilified as “conspiracy theorists” have been getting it right FAR more often than anyone remotely connected to media or government.  It’s time to dump the alphabet news agencies and follow alternative media.  While Morris, Hannity and even President Obama may laugh at you, it’s obvious you will be far better informed!

Peddling Influence Exposes Mainstream Media Agenda
William Lewis
May 10, 2013

Many people ask what the motivation was to produce Peddling Influence, a documentary exposing the mainstream media.  After all, they say, most people know there is a problem, as approval ratings for the media clearly show.  Many feel news outlets have some sort of agenda. The project didn’t start out as an expose’ on media, though.  Therein lies the real reason William Lewis Films chose the timely topic.

“It’s funny,” says writer Debbie Lewis, “I started this project to expose the many times in our history that wars were orchestrated rather than fought to truly defend out nation.  One thing led to another, and BOOM…we shifted directions!”

Lewis says the catalyst for this change came while doing research.  She stumbled across an attention-grabbing quote by American journalist John Swinton.  “At a ceremony recognizing him for his body of journalistic work, Swinton is quoted as saying, ‘There is no such thing, at this stage in the world’s history in America, as an independent press.  You know it and I know it.  I am paid for keeping honest opinions out of the paper.’  When I read that, I automatically assumed it was a recent quote, not knowing anything about John Swinton.  Turns out, he made that statement in 1880!  How is that for a matter-of-fact testimony about journalism in this country?”

The Swinton revelation was cited in an essay by Hamilton Holt titled Commercialism and Journalism from the very early 1900’s.  It is still appropriate today.

“The problem with our media is multi-faceted,” states Lewis.  “You have advertisers spending incredible amounts of money with media outlets, government officials trying to control what becomes news, those whom the media actually consider experts, often times the outright lying while reporting the news and believe it or not, we have actually had to contend with foreign governments using our own media against us to sway our opinions!”

Peddling Influence reveals that, in 2011, advertisers were projected to spend a whopping $128-plus Billion to reach our population.  That equates to roughly $410 per person in the United States.

The film revisits the Telecom Scandal and how the Bush Administration asked the New York Times to sit on an article revealing the truth about when and what led to the administration approaching our nations major Telecom’s about turning over client records.

Who the media consider experts is also divulged in Peddling Influence.  “Anything said or done by government officials is considered expert information.  Given the approval rating of both congress and our President, that’s a bit scary for me!” exclaims Lewis.  Others considered “experts” by mainstream media are high-ranking businessmen and women, well-known, popular people, actors & actresses, and athletes.  By using them as experts, the film reveals, media has plausible deniability if it proves to be untrue.

The film also proves how extremely powerful the use of images are in swaying popular opinion. Recently, both Fox News and CNN used footage from totally different events while reporting overseas news.

Peddling Influence discloses both England and Israel’s use of our own media to garner support for their own causes, and how, before World War I, JP Morgan and friends bought the news interests of the top twenty-five news outlets to control what was reported.

The film closes with a powerful quote by none-other than media mogul Ted Turner, “The media is too concentrated, too few people own too much.  There’s really only five companies that control 90 percent of what we read, see and hear.  It’s not healthy.”  Truer words were never spoken!

The Proper Media Response
Debbie Lewis
April 8, 2013

Someone recently posted an older article by Fox News about a burglary and arrest.  One has to wonder how the article from March 2012 about the arrested homeowner would have been reported if our Constitutionally-protected Free Press was in place.  While Homer Wright was simply defending himself, his wife and his home against burglary, this Army Veteran was arrested.  Why?  Because Chicago doesn’t allow guns…So, what’s Mr. Wright supposed to do, let the burglar pilfer through his stuff while waiting for the cops?  And, before you read the article and tell me, “well, it says the burglar was only after alcohol,” does it really matter what he was after?

Don’t we have a constitutional right to protect ourselves?  More law officers are telling us they may not be able to respond quickly because of budget cuts or other issues.  Does it really matter how quickly they respond?  Why can’t we take the responsibility for our own protection?  By the way, the burglar had been “arrested at least 13 times since 2009.”  Yet, whose photo accompanies the article and what was reported FIRST in this misguided article?  Mr. Wright’s and that he “was arrested because he had two previous weapons convictions…”  Mr. Wright was treated like a criminal, not only by the police, but by the mainstream press, as well.

“Our mainstream media has lost more credibility over the years, but many simply don’t know where to turn.  That’s why Peddling Influence is so important.  It explains the media agenda, why we don’t get the truth” says film maker William Lewis.  Read Entire Entry

I just can’t take it anymore…New York City’s mayor, Michael Bloomberg, is an idiot!  Yeah…I said it!  How in the world New Yorkers think this man is worthy to be their mayor is beyond me…Perhaps they don’t read…OR, perhaps they read the bought-and-paid-for-media version of what’s going on, without bothering to verify the facts!  That HAS to be it…The only other excuse is that New York is full of brain dead zombies that couldn’t think for themselves if their life depended on it…WHICH IT DOES!  Read Entire Entry

What The Anti-Gun Crowd Is Missing
Debbie Lewis
January 9, 2013

The Alex Jones/Piers Morgan “debate” was interesting.  Jones took no time to light into Morgan about Morgan’s views on gun control, and the interview, and Jones’ passionate temper, escalated from there.  People, like Morgan and other anti-gun supporters, miss the main point.  In the United States of America, we already have a massive “study” about gun control…the handgun ban and trigger lock law in Washington D.C.

“Why is it that no one thinks about the extensive period of the DC gun ban in our own recent history?” asks independent filmmaker William Lewis, of William Lewis Films.  “Researching the details around the Second Amendment, like we did for our documentary on the Bill of Rights, Blood of Patriots, was extremely enlightening.”  Read Entire Entry

Sandy Hook, Firearms Related Deaths and Your Right to Bear Arms…
Debbie Lewis

There is no doubt that what happened to those dear, sweet children and teachers/administrators at Sandy Hook Elementary School was a horrible tragedy.  BUT, the actions of some of our government officials in the wake of it are truly remarkable…but not in a good way.  Those in favor of gun control have zero common sense (or maybe another agenda?).  Firearm related deaths are fairly easy to research…especially in this day of the Internet.  Let’s take a look at what we know, and in doing so, save our Second Amendment right to “keep and bear arms.”  Read Entire Entry

The Joke’s on you…You Voted For Him
Debbie Lewis
November 10, 2012

The 2012 Presidential Election cycle is over, and President Obama emerged the winner.  For many of us, this was not a surprise.  We knew Romney could not beat him.  We did our research.  Many would blame the people who voted for third party candidates, boldly and tirelessly stating that a vote for anyone but Romney was a vote for Obama.  Part of the blame has to go to those who have no real idea for who or what they are voting.  More people than ever before are concerned about their loss of freedoms, yet they did nothing to protect them.  Also, I lay the blame squarely on the heads of the Republicans.  If they wanted to win, they should have nominated someone who could beat Obama, not someone who was basically his Republican clone.  Freedom-loving Americans just could not bring themselves to vote for Romney, as we know all too well he does NOT support our freedoms.  But then, neither does Obama!

Wasting Votes
Debbie Lewis
October 26, 2012

What an incredibly wonderful event hosted by Free and Equal Elections and carried on Russia Today Tuesday, October 23.  The inclusive debate included Libertarian Gary Johnson, Constitution Party man Virgil Goode, Green Party candidate Jill Stein and Justice Party guy Rocky Anderson, and all were well worth the time it took to watch.  Why?  The event showed us one of the most important things we have been missing…we have other choices.  We don’t have to waste our vote!  Read Entire Entry

Just the Facts…Romney
Debbie Lewis, October 9, 2012

The first Presidential debate between the 2012 “nominees” is over.  President Obama and Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney went head to head.  Depending on who’s telling the story, Romney did quite well, while Obama didn’t seem to be on his game.  Regardless of what people think they witnessed during this debate, Romney is a status quo politician.  He says what he needs to say, when he needs to say it and changes his mind regularly.

These are the facts…  Read Entire Entry

Evil is Still Evil

October 1, 2012

And so it begins…again…that ever-daunting task of “electing” a president.  If I’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it a thousand times, “A vote for anyone but Romney is a vote for Obama.”  The Republicans, and others fed up with Obama, want us to choose the lesser of two evils…again.  Don’t they get it?  Evil is still evil, and even the lesser is still evil.  Read Entire Entry

You Can’t Handle The Truth…
Debbie Lewis
September 25, 2012

Social Media is a fascinating creature.  Just today someone posted an older article by Russia Today about an Executive Order President Obama signed in July giving him control over all communications systems in the United States.  Please don’t take this as support for our wayward president, but oh how soon we forget our history, as he is certainly NOT the first president to claim such broad powers.  Read Entire Enrty

The Biggest Losers
Debbie Lewis
September 22, 2012

For all their boasting about wanting to return to our Constitutional Roots in 2008, the Republicans and Democrats, in conventional style (no pun intended!), have ditched that concept in favor of a near-mirror image of each other for their respective Presidential candidates.  Without so much as a glance toward more constitutionally minded choices, like Ron Paul, except maybe to see that his supporters are all over the spectrum, the political party conventions were a total bust.  And who loses?  We-the-People!  Read Entire Enrty

Are We Informed Enough To Call The Shots?
Debbie Lewis
August 9, 2012

With the “gun violence” going on across the country recently, the Batman shooting and the Sikh Temple shooting, not to mention the police shooting of a an unarmed man in Anaheim, you can see the wheels turning in the minds of the gun control advocates.  But before your liberal friends explode with excitement at the thought that legislators will work towards it, maybe we all need a few lessons from our not-too-distant past.

Research for Blood of Patriots revealed some interesting facts that gun control advocates and pro control legislators tend to overlook in a big way.  Read Entire Entry

Bloomberg Goes Against NY State’s Original Thoughts on Second Amendment
Debbie Lewis
July 26, 2012

The mainstream news is a-buzz with the Aurora, CO shooting, which, again, brings up the question of gun control.  Interestingly enough, or coincidentally, the UN Arms Treaty talks are also going on, and come to a close seven days after the shooting occurred.  If the shooting will have any bearing on the Treaty talks is anyone’s guess.  However, one piece of news is more than interesting.  New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the police around our fair country should go on strike until the population agrees to give up their guns.  Does Bloomberg remember New York’s stand on the 2nd Amendment from this country’s beginning?  Read Entire Entry

Things That Irk Me During Election Years…
Debbie Lewis
July 19, 2012

Politics is a tough business.  If you are in politics, either your political colleagues and/or your constituency are not happy with what you are doing.  If you watch politics, your blood has to boil at least once a day, as you watch these congress critters destroy this country.  What don’t they understand about their constitutional duty?  “It’s really not that hard to understand,” says William Lewis, director of Don’t’ Tread On Me and Blood of Patriots.  Elections are coming up.  It seems that during election years, I can find things that are in desperate need of exposure. This year is no different.  Read Entire Entry

Tyranny Abounds in US As Constitutional Checks and Balances Fail
Debbie Lewis
July 13, 2012

As our nation continues its downward spiral from the Supreme Court’s Obamacare decision, a vision of clarity settles over some of the people.  While it’s true we have three separate branches of government, the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial, what did we learn about them during the upsetting ruling?  Set up as a safeguard to protect our population from any one of them becoming out-of-control, over-enthusiastic, or downright dictatorial, our three-pronged security system has now utterly failed us and it may be time for some sort of revolution.  Not a violent, bloody revolution, but a constitutional education revelation, of sorts.

“Our Founding Fathers saw a need and wrote in protections for this country via the Bill of Rights.  The Constitutional Articles of Power and the three distinct branches of government were clear, in their minds, but as the possibility of subversion was pointed out, they set in writing the 9th and 10th Amendments to protect us from a government gone wild,” says award-winning film director, William Lewis.  Read Entire Entry

Land of the Persecuted, Home of the Distressed: A Year of Oppression in Review
Debbie Lewis
July 5, 2012

Another Independence Day has come and gone.  Folks were out celebrating as if nothing was going on, yet this year, like years past, has been an eye-opener, if you’re concerned about your freedom!  Once the Land of the Free, Home of the Brave, the united States of America has been reduced to a land of tyranny and shame.

Our people have forgotten what this country is about and that our founding generation put safeguards in our governing documents to protect us from despotic governments.  Documentaries like Blood of Patriots and Don’t Tread On Me reach out to remind us what our rights are supposed to be and what made this country the envy of the world.  Yet, we celebrate this Independence Day more oppressed than just a year ago.  Should we truly reflect over this past year, we would see our country is plagued with some of the most ridiculous rulings and considerations, and realize they are neither isolated nor unusual.  Read Entire Entry

Derelict Congress gets SCOTUS Pass on Unconstitutional Obamacare
Debbie Lewis
July 3, 2012

Like everyone else, I have been awaiting the Supreme Court’s decision regarding Obamacare, hoping to see some glimmer of constitutionality.  After the initial reports on the ruling, and ignoring the mis-steps of FOX News and CNN, livid would have been too mild a word to describe my feelings.  The argument against Obamacare should have been made differently if a different outcome was expected.  SCOTUS made their ruling based on the three arguments our derelict government used to defend their position.

In their infinite subversion of our Constitutional Rights, our government argued they could use the Commerce Clause, the Necessary and Proper Clause, or the Tax and Duty Clause for the legality of Obamacare.  Read Entire Entry

Political Diversity At Risk?  You’ve Been Assimilated!
Debbie Lewis
June 15, 2012

Remember the Borg from Star Trek: The Next Generation?  The attempt to assimilate us is on, and you better be paying attention!  I receive an e-mail from someone in the Maryland GOP who recently forwarded a message from the their chairman.  The e-mail cited a speech given by Karl Rove at the MD GOP’s Red, White and Blue dinner and is calling for support to make Maryland a two-party state!  What the heck?  Did Karl Rove and/or the MD GOP fall on their heads?  This country was NOT founded on party politics.  I’m not totally sure how I got on the Maryland GOP e-mail’s list, but, hey, at least I know what they are promoting!  Read Entire Entry

Can Ron Paul Save The Systemic Extinction of the GOP?
Debbie Lewis
May 26, 2012

The only thing going for the GOP right now is that Ron Paul is still on their Presidential ticket.  That, much to the chagrin of the party, has brought the support of many fed-up Democrats (Blue Republican is proof of that!), Constitution Party members and Libertarians.  Another demographic seen moving towards the GOP are younger, libertarian-leaning folks.  Paul has managed to liven up the GOP, as the many state caucuses have proven.  But does the GOP care?  Are they willing to reach out and embrace these people?  The massive support for Paul and a recent article sheds much-needed light on the “Grand Old Party” and the fact that, unless they are willing to accept an injection of young, fresh, yet conservative, ideas, they truly are a dinosaur in need of registry on the endangered species list. NOT a Democracy!
Debbie Lewis
May 8, 2012

We do NOT live in a Democracy…there, I said it!  The mainstream media and the news seem to want us to believe we do, but we do not.  The GOP and the Democrats would like for you to believe it, as well.  In fact, even Chief Justice John Roberts, as Paul Sheridan has so eloquently pointed out, wants you to believe it and our school system preaches it like it’s the gospel truth.  Read Entire Entry

Saving Our Country From Despotic Government
Debbie Lewis
May 1, 2012

How many Republican and Democratic followers are claiming to support true freedom through our country’s Constitution?  Many, regardless of background, say they support our Constitution, thus our freedoms, but how many of those same people put stipulations on either the freedom of others or on the support they are willing to give?  Do they really understand our rights, at all?  Read Entire Entry

Constitutional Government In Our Grasp
Debbie Lewis
April 27, 2012

As an alternate in the #1 spot for our county in Missouri, I went to our district convention, just in case there were some delegate no-shows.  What a chance to get to see the process!  I was seated, as some didn’t show up.  The majority in the crowd were not Paul supporters, even though they claimed to want to drive our nation back to a constitutional government.

In a room filled with Romney, Paul and, yes, Santorum people, all were saying their main goal was to oust the current president in the upcoming election.  They all want someone who to uphold the principles in our Constitution…at least that was their rhetoric!   Read Entire Entry

Same Ol’ Same Ol’
Debbie Lewis
April 23, 2012

I was privileged to be an alternate to our district convention this year, and was actually seated!  What an opportunity!  Most of the crowd were either Santorum or Romney supporters, and I think there were even a couple of Gingrich supporters there.  Their main objective, so they say, was to unseat our current president.  Nice goal!

There were a bunch of Santorum supporters there and I have to admire their support for him, as I would have done the same thing for Paul!  There was no animosity, but you could tell the supporters from the other candidates really wished we weren't there.  Many continued voting anything but Paul...They claim to be supporters of the Constitution, but I have a feeling they don't quite understand it.  What a day and a chance to stand with so many people who actually DO!  Read Entire Entry

Update:  MI Dept of Natural Resources Responds...
Debbie Lewis

April 20, 2012

I must admit, when I called the Gaylord Office, the fellow who answered the phone there was more than polite and listened to my concerns.  The lady who answered in Lansing was polite, but I could tell she was tired of dealing with the issue.  I repeat, though, she wasn't rude.

I did write the Director's office about the issue, not truly expecting a reply, because I figured they are swamped.   To my surprise, I did receive a reply.  In fact, I received two.  Read Entire Entry

Our rights are at stake…don’t you care!?!
Debbie Lewis
April 18, 2012

There is a mess brewing all over this country, and it actually has been for some time.  More and more we see our basic rights being taken by a callus and over-reaching government bent on “controlling” things that are not part of there power to control.

In my city, Columbia, MO, there is a desire to “attract” businesses by what is commonly referred to as EEZ, Enhanced Enterprise Zone.  Sounds innocuous enough, right?  Well…before you say that attracting business is a great idea, and it is, please consider the methods by which they choose to do it.  Read Entire Entry

Gallup Blacks Out Ron Paul In New Poll
Debbie Lewis
April 7, 2012

Gallup has joined the ranks of the suspicious, with regard to blacking out Ron Paul.  Their latest poll and a head-to-head showdown between Obama and the Republican hopefuls is disturbing and in more than one way.  The results reported on April 2, 2012 show Obama’s lead over Romney is expanding and his lead over Santorum is larger still.  BUT, what they failed to do is include Ron Paul in the poll or results.  This may not seem important, but what is shows it that the mainstream media is still driving our elections!

There has been so much happening throughout the GOP nomination process that you may have forgotten some key points.  Let me refresh you memory. Read Entry Here

A Ron Paul Presidency; What’s In It For You?
Debbie Lewis
March 31. 2012

Fresh off an incredible victory in many local first phase caucuses in Missouri’s process and his ignored win in the Virgin Islands, Ron Paul and supporters gear up for the big one in Missouri, and elsewhere.  The media doesn’t take him seriously, but his supporters sure do.  In the face of what non-Paul supporters may think is utter defeat from the past several primary/caucus races, Paul supporters are nearly rabid with their fervor for delegates.  Why?  Because they know something others don’t seem to grasp; the electoral process and what’s at stake if he loses.

While Romney, the obvious du-jour choice among many bent on re-tooling, or better yet, controlling, the GOP presidential race, touts his policies and rides his wave to glory, Santorum seems to be imploding, like many of the would be GOP hopefuls before him.   Read Entry Here

Spring has sprung and so has the SPLC
Debbie Lewis
March 14, 2012

Spring has rolled around again and Mark Potok and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has released yet another Intelligence Report listing “Active Patriot Groups” for the past year.  Nothing new there, but one could hope that, at least this year, they would have done their homework and the list would contain actual groups.  Not so!  Once again, the SPLC’s “list” contains feature length films, film companies, websites, and radio programs.  Read Entry Here

Ron Paul and The Battle for Our Constitutional Republic
Debbie Lewis
March 2, 2012

“The constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government.”  Patrick Henry

Our Presidential Election Cycle is in full swing and Super Tuesday is just around the corner.  Watching the past few state elections, it appears our general population is missing some vital information…an in depth understanding of our constitutional republic and founding documents.  In general, We-the-People have allowed our government to over-run us, in part, because it gives us some sense of security, whether it be from foreign enemies, “terrorists,” or whether it be financial, as in welfare and social security.  We have forgotten that we have the ultimate power.  Read Entry Here
